I have been voting libral since I was 18 but the voters turnout is so bad in Canada that they never win.
I miss the old Liberal party and how things were done with Chretien as Prime Minister. Paul Martin came and totally mucked things up for the Liberals and since then they haven't been able to stand up properly. Even if people aren't interested in politics should at least vote.
My husband is not at all interested in politics and that he thinks voting is pointless. I've said to him that I'm going to make him vote here when he is a citizen because as a citizen of a country you should vote in order to better a country for the greater good. It is one of our rights and we should use it.
If we don't use our rights, government will be elected who have no interest in our needs as its citizens and will ignore us and walk all over us. Then later we cry and complain that our government isn't doing what we want it to do. You shouldn't complain you didn't vote and you didn't contribute. Make yourself heard by voting and being an active citizen. Every ones votes counts even if you don't think it doesn't, but it does, one way or another. lol I got carried away.
