I just got an update from the MP's office - nothing much has changed - the file is undergoing background checking - though she said that the first screening has been completed and they are satisfied with the results. To be honest I don't know what to think of that. Although it sounds positive, but when I ordered the notes in July it showed some details about security screening. So does that mean nothing has changed since June? it's hard to say because the last month when I got an update she didn't share this detail so whether it's new or not I don't know. I feel so down. It feels like everything the MP assistant says the waiting time is 26 months and you won't be expected to hear before July of next year, it feels like my heart is crushing into tiny pieces. I don't blame the MP assistant though - all she can do is tell me what she's being told. I have told her that on the forum there are people who get thier cases processed in 12-18 months and 26 months is rare. Any how feeling really depressed. When is this going to end?

That's better than nothing. At least your MP has told you this much, ours just forwards a generic answer that doesn't change in ages! However, about four months back she said that our case is almost concluded and we should be expecting a progress on it in a month or so. Still nothing

Alhamdulillah my husband received his passport back with visa today October 3
Passport was dropped personally to the embassy last Friday, stamped on Monday and mailed out on Tuesday.
Total processing time since I applied in Toronto took 23 months.

Just wondering if anyone knows through their own timeline or that of others:

For those who's file was at the stage being sent to the WVR for officer review, how long after did it take for the any additional progress such as PPR to be received?
While in an interview queue since June 2011, my wifes application was reviewed again at the end of July 2012 and was to be forwarded to WVR for officer review after medical letter was sent. Medical was completed in August.

I contiunue to hope my wifes interview has been cancelled as her file is awaiting this review after having been in an interview queue since June 2011.

i am in the same boat.....i did my remedical in July 2012 n got a similar msg from the MP that file is wid immigration officer or whoeva and no confirm date can be given as to when da process will end.

I know the feeling. I told my MP office that too. Hang in there. I am not sure if it makes sense for you to travel as you are ahead of me (in terms of re-medical).

But if you do decide to go, i just got Eithad ticket yesterday for ~$1440 for Karachi.

i never heard that they send objection letter before interview queue except Nikah only case as u can see Canpak bro signature..did u send email to chc for ur application status??/ they dont give any time frame for interview in email ..order GCMS notes so as u can know the reason of interview .. what is ur timeline ??
