That is generic answer for everyone. They are lazy to check real status of application and do not bother to write something more then that. I think they have same templates that they just copy, paste and send to everyone for received queries.

Just found this forum. I would like to mention my case here as well. I applied for my husband in dec2010 and the AOR is jan 2011. On march 10th my husband received a letter which asked for his police certificate and some other forms as well. Lets see how much more time they take to finalize the case.

I believe your husband will get good news pretty soon. It is varies case to case that after re-medical or re-pcc some received request ppr with in 15 days some get 30 to 60 days max....best of luck

I filled out the caips forms when i saw March guys getting it and a friend of mine, 2 weeks prior to me, his wife got PPR. So i thought to hold off 2 weeks and see if my wife gets PPR or not. Then getting it signed by wife was a couple of days delay. Finally sent the forms via email on Monday April 9th.

Reply to those asking about Mr. Nasir. He received our update in December 2011 as well. I am just wondering if thats the reason our file is delayed.

Life on Pause. Sucks. Ticket prices of $2k for June sucks too! We are all in similar boats. Lets hope the light at the end of the tunnel arrives soon, before we run out of fuel Fuel prices are going up too!

I agreed with you about ticketing price. I am not sure in which province you are in but again i would say if your wife get ppr and visa stamped by they peak time of fares then try to book flight via UAE not European Countries...and other thing if you book flight via Taxes that will be less costly then others....

i have noticed that end of the quarter CHC-I slows down and thats when the new time line get issued

they will pick up speed in first of week of may beggining of new QUARTER

before JAN 27 2012 they stopped

so know 1st quarter of 2012 is finishing up on April 27

in may they will issue new timeline and they will get there new QUOTAS to issue how many visas for second quarter of 2012

My documents were received by Nasir in July 2011 and it was attached to my file in 3 weeks. So I don't think Nasir is the culprit here.

Just out of curiosity, since e-tickets are..well...electronic. I assume they can be issued from anywhere. Question is, would it be cheaper to have the ticket issued from a agent in Pak? Your departure from here and return + wife.

I can't get tickets from an agent in Pakistan. A friend of mine tried doing that and they didn't accept his return ticket at the airport when he was coming back to Canada, then he had to get a ticket from another airline to come back. Even if i get it from Pakistan, the prices would almost be the same.

If you go with Turkish airline, you might be able to save 500-700 dollars. You will have a stop over in istanbul, Turkey (3 hr stop over) which isn't bad. I am not sure if your wife will need a transit visa for Turkey or not.

I know exactly what you mean. I will have to travel to Pakistan to bring my wife with me and the ticket price in June will go upto 2K+ for just myself. Her one-way ticket would cost around 100,000 RS so in total about 300,000 RS or $2900.

I checked the ticket prices for Turkish airline as well. The issue would be to get a last minute ticket as I don't know when exactly her Visa would come so I can't book it in advance. If I book it right now, I can get it with my return ticket for $1600, but if I have to get it one week in advance the same ticket price would be around $2300 at that time.
