I never sent my initial medical. my PCC has expired. and haven't sent any voluntary docs yet since im not that far yet. such as western union slips, pix, email screen shots bla bla bla. so will be sending in my address change letter this week, till then gathering docs and will send that and as soon as pcc is ready will send that. planning to send initial medical voluntarily this oct. so it wuld be valid till next oct and i would be 1yr and 7months down the road by then (19 WHOLE months LOL). whats your take on this? .... anyone else with any suggestions? RAMADAN mubarak to everyone! May alll of us get our visas ASAP! AMEEN!

Hello, I am sponsoring my husband from Afghanistan as well. Here are the answers to your question. Since there is no mailing system in Afghanistan, mailing address needs to be canadian address. You can ask your husband to write them a letter and you both sign it and fax or mail it to CHC Islamabad requesting the mailing address to be yours if you are in Canada. Life is much easier that way.

2nd question: I use comwave b/c it is 22 cents to Afghanistan and it has a billing system. Skype, every time you chat make a PDF of the history and keep it with you. You would need to show as much proof as you can. Don't use calling cards. You can use Rebtel.com or comwave..the best method to call Afghanistan.

Police certificate- they ask for it once it expires as normal processing time for Afghanistan is 23-24 months. PCC is only valid for one year. You can go to Afghan consulate in the city and ask for one and they will do everything from here and you husband can pick up a fax from ministry of foreign affair- consular section and proceed. It won't take more than 2 weeks for him to get it if does it through Afghanistan embassy Canada.

So just to get this clear - when your husband was requested to re-send his PCC - you received the letter to your mailing address in Canada??
Last time my husband did his police check - he did it from afghanistan and I had to pick it up from the afghanistan embassy - so it is possible to do it the other way around :S
I dont know how to make a PDF of my skype calls..I will go to the Apple store and ask them to help me figure it out lol

How has your experience been so far dealing with the embassy?? what is your time line??
