We got our first letter (dated july 9' 2011) asking for re-filled supplement and other forms, along with my husband's passport copy. That makes my Brought Forward date approx 23rd aug. I am planning to travel to the US in Aug/ around eid time but I'm hesitant because my re-med might come during that time frame. Secondly, I've also heard and read of cases where they request the re-med within 20 or so days of submission of documents, which would be great for us, but I'm thinking of the worst-case scenario right now.
Now, my main concern is that assuming I go to the US in aug; and my re-med request comes in the mean time, will I be able to get my re-med done from anywhere (ie: US) as long as I take the re-med form with me (which my father-in-law will send me via courier to the US) or will I have to come back to pakistan, get my med done and THEN wait (in Pak) for god knows how long before they ask me for my passport/ visa issuance?
Anyone?
Thanks in advance.

As for shopping, honestly nothing as yet. As packing infact wrapping up my long long corporate life here is taking so much time I am thinking that Inshallah as soon as my visa comes, I will fly quickly with three bags which have my basic necessary stuff only . Jab life naee shuroo karnee he hai to its better to get used to buying stuff from there...Abhi to dua he ke visa ke liye zyaada na tarsaaen and I get it in the time frame TGIF, Desi Canadian, Superman received..

ok confirmed, the remedical letter clearly states that if you are not in a country of residence for extended period of time, you can use DMO in that country alsozeeeee said:I need a little guidance and anyone who has faced a similar situation/ or has any suggestions is most welcome to add their comments.

thanks a lot saggit! your detailed reply really helped..but just a couple of questions:saggit19 said:please check your inbox
If you have an electronic copy of the documents then it should be okay. I wouldn't suggest scanning documents and sending them to your wife as they would no longer be an actual receipt/bill but a copy, so its totally upto you what you want to do. If I was you I would send the originalmuzmil said:Thanks Kaamia, i am thinking how about if i email all the docs to wife and she sent from there ? because from here it will take 2 weeks while in Pakistan using TCS its like 2-3 days.
what you think ?
I had my medical results go to New Delhi, not sure about the time delay though.zeeeee said:thanks a lot saggit! your detailed reply really helped..but just a couple of questions:
1) courier results go to new delhi? wasn't it supposed to be chc-isl? Do they have the new delhi address or will I have to provide it? (coz I don't know the address)
2) I've heard it takes longer if you get your med done from anywhere other than your home country. is it true? we wouldn't want to unnecessarily increase the timeline just by my being in the US.
thanks in advance.
