well buddy i dont know about you. But yea i would like to see a payhway for siblings if not i will apply to whatever french stream they open or use the ontario french stream. I know what im doing and i confident cuz i have several paths sibling or no sibling points i still have other options. People have to seach different pathways. I trust and i am 95% sure points will be granted to siblings cuz other matters regarding express entry revision have been addressed already others in progress, siblings are not pushing or signing petitions, that s why people hear less about siblings, students are all over the place. desperate would not be the word but optimistic.
I agree, and the people in the pool think that siblings are their competitors. Almost all the siblings can reach Canada by using other PNP streams and jobs. The whole idea of getting more points on express entry started for siblings, and all the changes like reducing PNP LMIA points are the result due to the very reason. My sibling is a Canadian citizen and wants me to take job opportunities, but i am waiting for additional points committed by Liberal government.

My score is 376. Will I stand any chance to get the PR through these changes?

I am in the process of re-taking the IELTS but not sure when I will be able to cross 400 mark.

Guys - we need to understand that we're not part of the decision making group inside the CIC lol... they will make decisions, we just have to follow it... we can debate till the end of days which candidate is good, which is not so good blah blah... but at the end of the day its not going to make the slightest difference...

these CEC vs FSW vs Int Students arguments reminds me of this line from the Dark Knight - "They need you right now, but when they don't, they'll cast you out, like a leper! You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other."

Somebody said previously that they will have Express Entry meeting on Nov 13, so the reforms might be announced the next day on Monday..

correct, i dont know why some people think siblings are not skilled workers. You know how hard it is to find a place to live once you land in a new country and imagine you dont have to worry about that cuz your brother or sister is willing to take you in, your sibling is a direct access to canadian society, your sibling as a citizen will teach you every you need to know about the city you decide to live in and you may concetrate in finding a job right away or if you have children your siblings will be there as a helping hand. You will spend less money on rent, food, day care, untill you can find your own place. That s why family is important to the new government and thats what they meant when they first announced the points for siblings in nov.2015

seems very unlikely to me that any new changes will take effect this year, it will just complicate matters... i'm sure even if they announce it lets say today, it wont come into effect till jan next year...

one other reason why i think this will be the case is OINP - a few case officers while talking to the candidates (during additional info/docs request stage) have said OINP is doing their best to clear complete backlog by the end of this year... and i have already seen a glut of nominations being sent out on a saturday (this happened late last month) ...

Express Entry is different as it is based on ministerial instructions, thus any changes effective immediately, comparing to foreign worker program which need to go through parliament. It is other programs that has to go through parliament that might become effective next year.

All the reforms will be based on the mandate letter that prime minister Justin Trudeau given to John Mccallum which is made public. The entire immigration team will work upon that only, however they may have even started working a year before. Now the international students are about 350,000 or more in Canada. Can they all be involved in CEC.?They will put some filters sure. Also siblings case is a third point in mandate letter. There are chances that they can increase points for siblings but they can even postpone that process to some other point in future. New system will be totally different with current point system, wait and see.

It does not matter how much international students there are in Canada, but what matters is how much graduates of Canadian post-secondary institutions?

Think there are around 150,000 of those with Canadian education; amongst which not all will get the same bonus points.

That is totally wrong. I think that they should make a system which should be fair to all of the streams. FSWP,CEC,FST and all intl students and siblings. And that system should remain in place for atleast 20-25 yrs. Because if every coming govt will change the system as they like it will not help canada. They are elected to serve for the better interest of canada not like acheiving their personal goals. For example if conservatives win 2019 they will change the system for their good.

Can you please explain.?Most of them are graduates from canadian post-secondary institutions, right.?
There might be people who left the country after their studies. So they can also apply if potential points are awarded to them.
