CEC October 2014 Applicants

Called CIC this Monday, a very nice agent told me that my file was under background check. So they do started working on October applicants already.

But I am not quite sure what is the background check, is it something related to eligibility or its just security/ criminal related check? Has anyone experienced it? Please kindky share your opinion. Thx

I have received request for additional documents this morning. PCC for myself and my wife.

My timeline is:

App Received: October 01, 2014
AOR Received: Feb 06, 2015
Upfront Meds: Sept 22, 2015
PCC Request: March 09, 2016

I hope everyone else hears something on their file soon.

yeah I wanna know this as well, is it done after doing the eligibility check or before that?

Just to check - once we receive MR, does that mean that as long as any police checks (if necessary) come back clean that we are accepted for PR?

Hello, I'm October 3 and haven't received any updates since AOR as well. I haven't done the medicals upfront.. So maybe that's the difference here?

Im oct 2nd, nothing upfront and yeaterday got medical
Request(first uldate since AOR)

it seems that they r working on October 2 and October 3 this week... So october 2 to 6 get ready next week for a possible update on you ECAS.
I am october 10 application... Waiting!

The most awaited day has finally come !!!

Got RPRF request on 03 Mar 16, paid the same day and notified them immediately.

Guess what, today i have received the "Ready for Visa" email today. I am planning to send the passports in a day or two.

My ECAS status still reflects as In progress only.

Wish everyone of us a good luck and days are not so far.
