CEC October 2014 Applicants

Friends,

How is it going on the medical request front? i see most folks doing upfront.
Are there many others who have got a request from CIC? Or most of you are waiting for MR like me.

waiting as everybody... maybe next year since there are many people from Jun/ July and AUG waiting too...
It seems no August 11 applicant has received MR so far.
Even Sept thread didn't receive MR request by email in regular base.

As I could see, Jun applicants are advised by CIC to return calls only in Dec/2015 or Jan/2016 to obtain new information about the progress of their applications.

My info:
Appl received: 14/10/2014
AoR: 16/02/2015
Started the process - transf appl to Ottawa:04/03/2015
MR: waiting
tax return and NoA from this year sent to CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca and by mail (upfront)

I am thinking of just doing express entry as my career is on standstill as every job i go to all they ask is about your work permit situation. So my question is if you submit in a express entry application at what stage do you have to withdraw the Old CEC application ?

someone here posted that once his/her file was in EE, an update was posted on e-cas saying file withdrawn (the old CEC one). seems like they withdraw your old CEC application themselves.

this is a concern for me as well. can someone please confirm, if you were in the same situation ? i am also thinking of EE, but want to make sure that my old app does not get withdrawn. If it happens, it will void my AOR from old CEC app and my WP is on the verge of expiration. or i will just wait for my BOWP before applying in EE :-X

If they need you will receive a request by email..
I have sent it before receive any request since my tax return from the previous year didn't cover all the 12 months.

Mines didn't cover the whole 12 months as well. I will also email them this just in case.

Because they are working at snail's pace. Even the work permit which only takes around 40 days last year now takes around 125 days.

My application was submitted to CIC on 23rd June 2014 and completed 15 months as of yesterday.
I just called CIC and asked about the status. The Agent says that my application was received by Ottawa office on 26th Aug 2014 (after two motnhs from the date it was received by Sydney office) and the 14 months of processing time should be counted from that particular date. So he asked me to wait will 26th Oct 2015.

The third line in my ECAS says "We started processing your application on August 13, 2014"
If Ottawa office received my application on 26th Aug 2014, which office started processing it on Aug-13. No answer from Agent.
Really ridiculous!!!
Anyhow, my current open workpermit is expiring on 4th Dec 2014. I have no clue whether I have to apply for work permit extention now or I can trust CIC that can wait till 26th Oct???

Question 1:

I am currently in Canada and applied under Sep,2014 CEC. do i select privacy act or Access the information Act ?Can someone please provide me step by step instruction for applying GCMS notes ?

Question 2:

Can i apply for Express Entry under CEC? I already applied for old CEC application but still waiting for MR request. so it will affect my old application. if apply EE,

Please advise.
