I grew up bilingually, which would explain my high IELTS score. French though? Ha! No way! I walked into that test room telling myself that I was from France and didn't know any other language than French. Never spoke that fluently in my life ever again. Never underestimate the power of the mind! :D

How long you have studied French? i originally planned to apply PEQ instead of CEC. However, I lost confidence in achieving B2 level within a fairy short amount of time when I attended some part-time class...

I took French in high school for 5 years but dropped it eventually. When I moved to Québec, it had been 8 years that I hadn't been in contact with the language so it literally took me one minute to construct a sentence in my head. You simply forget everything. That being said, it is certainly easier to relearn a language than to start from scratch. I started taking French classes in July for 6 weeks and then got some books to study at home for my TEFAQ which I took in September. It is manageable if you really put all your effort into it.

Do you guys think it will be faster now to start with Express Entry application? Or wait for this one? I am October 2014 applicant too. Express entry seems faster option even at this point. I'm talking about time factor. I know I will lose some money..

I applied EE (FSW) 2 hours back. Tired of waiting for CEC. CEC is too slow. Now, i have 2 applications. I feel much secure. If something goes wrong with one, i still have the backup.

Also, the benefit is that i we have to do medical for EE upfront. I used this for my CEC application too. Hope this fasten my CEC Application.

Hi Gagan,

Can you use one medical for two applications? I am september applicant. I have recently applied for ICT visa and did upfront medical for that.
I got UMI number from emedical hospital. Should i use the same medical for my PR application as well?

Yes, we can use the same medical for multiple applications. I did the same. I did upfront medical for EE. I used the same medical for my CEC application as well.

You need to email cic so that they can link ur medicals to ur application. You need to provide ur name, UMI number, application number, UCI number etc etc. in the email you send to cic. Thanks.

Quite on the same boat, twice.

You can very well send them the scanned copies of your medical report proof (the one pager with UMI#) for both your CIC applications.

I have done the same in Jan and while they have not reflected that on ECAS, they have confirmed to have received it over phone.

I have just done my meds again and gonna send them my reports and UMI# again. Because I'm on the verge of expiring the last upfront.

FYI _ Med reports are valid for 9 months now. Contrary to the popular belief of 12 months. Confirmation from the eMed clinic I went to last Sat.

Nothing against you buddy. but i wont believe any clinic or doctor. CIC website clearly states that the medical results are valid for 12 months. So, its 12 months and not 9 months as said by ur clinic.

Thanks
