I submitted my PR application on 6th May2021. When the first step i.e. "review of eligibility" step is expected to be completed by IRCC ? Currently it is showing "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" status.
Secondly, when my application will be updated with my existing UCI number?

The eligibility status will say "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" for a while, may be for 3-5 months.

With regards to the UCI number I am not sure.

Your existing UCI will be updated once you passed the completeness check (1st step) and get medical passed and biometrics instructions letter.

the status on eligibility will remain like that until you receive a decision on your application.

it is just a glitch, it didn't affect my application at all.

Hey friend did you call IRCC regarding your eligibility ? What' s your background check status ?

We called them. They were a little bit reluctant on checking the information, insisting that we check the website but it only should that the eligibility was being processed. My husband is persuasive tho, and managed to get them to check the eligibility and visa office. We were satisfied with that information and didn't want to press for more since the background can take between 1 or 2 months, so now we're waiting for further contact on their part.
