CEC - August 2014 application

Express Entry time frame is fixed from 15 months to 6 months.. It was a bug in the CIC system..

Where are you guys seeing this 6 months? When I check it still says 15???

I contacted my local MP again and this is her reply:

It is with no great surprise that you’re telling me that you haven’t heard from CIC.

As you are not my only file stuck in the pre-express entry back log, I can tell you my last conversation with CIC about it was last week and that nothing new was being done with those files.
Since CIC will most likely wait until a new directive is being issued, I would not expect any change until the directive is known.

I understand this is utterly frustrating. I could still inquire about your specific file but I expect the same non-answer.
Please note also that due to a higher volume of calls from MP’s offices than usual, CIC queue for calling us back is now over one week long and we are limited to 7 files per call. In your case, your file would be my 12th. I understand that these delays are also very upsetting.

Let me know if you would like an update anyways, or if you would prefer contacting me in a month to inquire about a more general update for your category (directive issued or not).

Why don't you reply asking to check if all his colleagues are facing the same inquires. If so, they should issue a "directive" to address the issue at parliament and guide CIC to get rid of the backlog.

The more we bust their b**ls, the more they may be inclined to take action and solve the issue quickly.

Hoping to hear some MR news about August 22-23 applicants tonight. Anyone here who fit in this range?

I am from Aug 19th . I did medical upfront this week, but not yet updated in ecas, and PCC submitted with application also expired last year (assuming validity is one year).
so i guess i could get a Medical Request and/or PCC request.

august 20 they received my application. I was requested RCMP fingerprints late Jan of 2015. Again this year they requested me RCMP. My AOR was dec 12

As per CIC :

Once the office has determined that an applicant is a member of the Canadian Experience Class (R87.1), the principal applicant and their family members, whether accompanying or not, must complete medical examinations, and pass criminal and security checks.

Being a member of the canadian Experience class is :

intend to reside in a province or territory other than Quebec;
meet the minimum proficiency levels in English or French;
have maintained temporary resident status during any periods of work experience used to qualify for the Canadian experience class (CEC); and
have qualifying skilled work experience in Canada.

So, if you didn't receive your MR yet, You have certainly been put in second review ... ( order your notes to make sure )

So Finally After 18 months And After AOR I have got request for RCMP criminal record check. Sad (Did anyone got this ?)

Also this e-mail seems very different that I did not heard it before, it says " I need to send this report directly to RCMP National Headquarters in Ottawa and do not send to us (Means CIC)" .. !!

Now what I am expecting and why they asked me again ? I have submitted everything with my application even RCMP report. And since 3 years I am in Canada Just visited back home for one month and 2 times to US.

Can anyone please suggest why they asked again and what I am expecting after this ?

Would appreciate.

doesnt necessarily mean its in second review.. they dont do it all in order.. ive seen ppl from aug 20 get medical before aug 2nd
