Hi I have read the questions about CEC and am having same query. I worked for 6 months in a different NOC code and that company shut down . Now I have completed another 6 months for a different NOC code but both are B category jobs and I have all papers for both the jobs. So will my experience be considered as 1 year for the CEC category? Also I have a month gap between both jobs as it was winter and I didn't find a new job for a month. So it it ok or will that month gap will make any issues for the application o

Hi i am looking for an advice..i started working on 1st october 2018 and when should i create profile so that work counts related misconceptions can be avoided ?

Oct 1 or after...

The gap is irrelevant. but you must have worked 52 weeks to be eligible.

You’re good to go. My friend also applied in 11th month and received points for 1 year work ex..they consider it valid as by the time you receive ITA and submit your profile, your 1 year will be complete. BTW, congratulations :)
Yes, you're good!

Hi,

Some say you should create your EE Profile once you completed a full year, but to be safe just wait until you complete your 1 full year work experience in Canada if you are targeting CEC stream just to be safe.

There is no such thing as "too safe". EE profiles can be created and deleted many times before submitting. You'll love my account....I created and deleted EE profile 5 times. It literally says "Express entry - application withdrawn" 5 times in my account. It doesn't matter.

Hey guys,

my question is: Are we the one who can submit profile under CEC or FWSP? OR is this a CIC who will select category for us?

Depends if the one month off was paid or not. If it was paid, then Nov 2019. If it was unpaid, then Dec 2019.

thank you Scylla
it was unpaid ,i have one more question-
how to mention this time off because my profile is already created and its automatically calculate 24 months in Nov 2019 ?

Two options

1) If you want the system to accurately count your work experience, you would have to list the experience before and after the break as 2 different jobs.

2) Don´t worry about the profile, just make sure that, if you get an ITA, you do NOT get your letter of reference or submit your eAPR until after you complete the 2nd year. Letter of reference can mention the leave of absence.

thank you for previous replies , i have one another question about counting work experience -

So how the experience is counted? From the starting date of work or from the 1st pay cheque.

i received my first paycheque for as a restaurant supervisor on november 10 2017 , for work i did from october 23 2017 - november 5 2017 .
my question is should i put start date october 2017 or november 2017 in my EE profile ?

Hi Team, Urgent Help needed Please.

I came to Canada on work permit on 7th March 2019, but system auto-calculated my 1 year on Feb 1 2020 and sent me the invite on Feb 5th. Can i accept the invitation now and submit the docs after 7th March 2019 ?
FYI - I was stuck on 462 till end of jan - 2020. But due to system auto calculation of 1 year on feb 1, I got extra 35 points and the score updated to 497.
