I hope everyone gets it on time.. What I have observed, their processing is generally on time.

Hi everyone! I just wanna share my experience at Service Canada today . So this morning I went to Scarborough servis canada to apply passport. But without appointment! So if you have any travel proof ( must have ticket. It should be less than 3 days time) or something important family issues ( dead or sick ) . You are good to go to walk-in BUT if they are not busy or there is no any person who has appointment. They will serve you other way they don’t serve you !!! It’s better to be there around 7 or 7:30am !

They charged your CC in 2 days? That's a record time. They needed new photos, and you called them to find out? What if you didn't call? They should have called you to let you know. We usually assume everything is fine unless they call and tell us otherwise

still waiting for kids birth certificate and I think they will come separate. But happy that passport arrived.

Yep, I was hopefully with the CC charge being so quick and called today for a status update hoping to get the passport in the next week or two. That’s when I was informed the application was halted and I needed to send in new photos. Same situation with my wife’s passport last summer, she needed to fax ID and we had to call to find this out.

Very unusual… charged in 2 days and then sleep… amazing…. Did u send any web form request? Did you ask, if i dont call you then what happens?

I also called. They told me I needed guarantor signature on back of ID. They didn’t know why no one had contacted me by phone or email. I sent the requested item by overnight fedex because the fax was busy for two days solid.
I was told that once it was received to expect completion in three weeks.

3 weeks after they receive the missing document, although you sent your application beginning of Jan?!

Finally my journey is over, mine and my son's passports were delivered this morning (after filing a complaint)

Total process: 37 calendar days
