Hello. Has anybody tried to change their passport application to Express or Urgent after already mailing the application? Is that possible?

I believe it is. They’ll charge $95 ($45 for transfer to nearby office and $50 express fee). I’m doing it tomorrow. What’s your timeline of submission? My application was in progress since 7th Sep and payment has been taken.

Is there any way to track in-person passport application?
I submitted passport on Aug 20, 2021. but still didn't received, the lady told me that passport should be delivered by Sep 17 and still waiting.

Hi, once application closed or old ECAS complete, does it mean your citizenship cert on the way?

Just called them up and just came to know that the date on the application matters big time. Even if you don’t provide a proof and using mail-in. Passport got validated and approved and sent for printing. Expecting it within 2 weeks or less as per the agent. Sent on 3rd Sep and received and in processing on 7th. Shouted on their Facebook page last Friday and got the status today morning.

Check the latest tracker. If it shows ceremony completed and congratulations, you’re now a Canadian citizen, yes, your cert is on its way

Hey Everyone. I sent my mail-in application to the passport office in Quebec on 23rd Aug. It was received on 24th Sept. It was delivered through FedEx so all delivery details are available. I called the passport office call center today for an update and was told that they don't have a file based on my details. I validated all my details twice but the agent could not pull up a file. I'm concerned because the application included my original citizenship certificate. Anyone else with the same experience? What should I do?

Update: Someone from the passport office called me and told me that they are issuing the passport. So all good now.

It seems they are now calling applicants to provide a status update and potentially confirm the new passport issuance within a week.

Not urgent - I applied in person for express, which is 1 level below urgent but 1 level above regular. The timeline for that is 2-9 days.

I called passport office today and they said the timeline is not 20 business days. It's 6 to 8 weeks these days.
