Dont you need it for Express/Urgent applications?BTW, how many applicants here put the date of travel on their forms?
We need to justify even that? I just like things to be done fastyour passport application can be urgent even if citizenship wasn’t. But you will need to justify why you need a passport within 2-3 business days.
Yeah I believe you need to have confirmed travel plans with proof. But not all agents are asking so its a hit or missWe need to justify even that? I just like things to be done fast
This is so messed up. I am willing to pay extra $100 to expedite it, and even then I may not be allowed?!Yeah I believe you need to have confirmed travel plans with proof. But not all agents are asking so its a hit or miss
I did. Date is need only for Urgent passport service (and may be for Express service). I was provided Express service and they never asked to see my ticket / travel proof.BTW, how many applicants here put the date of travel on their forms?
This certainly used to be the case before the pandemic, but it might have changed because of it.This is so messed up. I am willing to pay extra $100 to expedite it, and even then I may not be allowed?!
Yeah, I mean it makes sense in a way. Its a small price increase, so everyone would do urgent and true urgent cases would not get prioritized if a higher cost was all that was needed to get it fast. I think they just want to ensure they give passports very fast for people who actually need it/plan to travelThis is so messed up. Did you need to explain why you requested the express service? I applied for urgent processing for my PR card last year, and I needed to attach some doctor's letter about my family member's health issues, and the "cover letter" explaining more in-depth, and why I specifically need to be in my home country. Is it similar with the express processing for a passport, or does it not require such detailed explanations?I did. Date is need only for Urgent passport service (and may be for Express service). You don't need any letters in most cases. If you are simply traveling and you need a passport for that, you only need to submit proof of travel. I did have a reason, a trip to the US but they did NOT ask for the proof.Did you need to explain why you requested the express service? Hi, Do you need to book an appointment for the service? If so, did you call them or fill out the form and they called you back? Do you need to show proof? I am in London too.PP APPLICATION: SEPT 3
PICKUP DATE ON RECEIPT: 10 SEPT.
in person application at london Ontario.
Yes you will need to submit the webform and wait for a call back. Very few are accepting walkins and that's iffy too as there maybe a ton of waiting. Best to get a confirmed appointment and avoid the waitHi, Do you need to book an appointment for the service? If so, did you call them or fill out the form and they called you back?
