Backlog is reduced, ita's were slow is July August September of 2016 and federal skilled targets are increased by 15000. I don't see how cutoff will not go down considerably.
Bonus points for CEC and other applicants. More quota for PNPs.

When I think of number of ITAs issued, I don't think of the year on targets, I assume it has something to do with just the workflow. Simply, there aren't enough agents to process the applications any faster.

Maybe they should issue special visas to those wanting to become an immigration agent... I think most of us are already self taught to a masters level ;)

I don't think backlogs got reduced. (Do you have any official links of info ? ).
Even if ITA were slow on those months, they had lots of backlog previously. And OINP is still working on Jan/Feb nominations, we are going to get more applicant with 600+ CRA in coming months from PNP.

I think he meant OINP, as you are only allowed to apply within 2 years of graduation!

Good luck

You're only eligible for CEC if you have done 1 year of work experience in the last 3.

So my work experience was July 2013-dec2014. In Dec 2016 my year within three years will expire so I won't be eligible for CEC. I'm also eligible for FSW though.

That is true. Nothing has been changed with respect to Quota.

pnp are increased as well, but anyways federal skilled does not contain pnp so all these 600+ does not affect the target in any way!

Bonus points for CEC is a dream that keeps on happening every once a while MR.McCallum speaks...

Nobody knows if it is going to be implemented or postponed to next year or even a weird rule of candidates that complete their education in the past 2 years.

Such rules will have no impact on the numbers to be issued.

So to summarise, has this announcement been:
A) Bad
B) Good
C) the same as 2016
