Hi All,

while creating EE profile I have declared $13700 as fund amount, I am the only person planned to land in Canada ( No dependents).

However, when I received the PT interest letter I came know that I couldn't manage to collect entire amount within this time without borrowing.

So can I lower my funds to $12000 which is still above the required funds ($11931)?

Will this affect profile or nomination?

Thanks ...

I don't think that it should be a problem to lower your funds to $12,000
As long as you have minimum or more amount available to you to demonstrate your funds, it should be fine.

However, it is highly recommended that you include a Letter of Explanation (LOE) stating that you are not able to prove the earlier mentioned amount and that you can only show $12,000. Also, make the necessary change in your EE profile as well.
This way the scenario will be clarified to the officer in charge of your application.

There's no issue here. Change the amount in your EE profile and write the same amount when applying to OINP.
Cheers
