Hey, sorry for the delayed response, I just saw this, if you guys need info in the future DM me so it comes on my Email. They asked for passport, photos, and a document stating my wife's height and Eye color. I also had a request to prove that I (The sponsor) Will relocate when she gets PR. what is the background story? meaning, answer the following questions:

1- Is your husband Canadian or Permanent Resident?
2- What Nationality does your husband, and you, have?
3- How long are you married for?
4- When and where did you marry?
5- Do you have children? or will soon?
6- Did you live together? where and how long?
7- Does he work in Canada?
8- Do you have clear ties (joint accounts, joint ownerships)
9- How and when did you meet for the first time?
10- Who will be collecting documents and preparing everything? you or him?

I know it is a long list, but you need to be careful so that the process go through smooth.

Guys, did they ask for medical late in the process?
Nearly all people applying March 2017 got medical requests, while I did not. I know of others applied Feb 2017 and no medical request yet. What is your info/experience about that?

As I see Cairo office send nothing and update nothing until they reach the final decision or need something me now almost 6 months got nothing yet , I guess also that I did not pay the RPRF upfront maybe cause this I sent e- mail to them asking about statues CIC confirmed that is in process and in Cairo visa office now but told me to contact embassy here directly even sent same email to embassy on the same day but they send nothing more then the automatic confirmation since medical results update end of November 2016.

For you is actually better when medical delay as if done too much early and expire during process you will have to redo and pay again so they will request only when they are near end of process and as you see they are not that fast minimum 5 months and can take longer as me still got nothing 6 months today

If your wife is the one sponsoring you, it takes a bit longer usually. I am sponsoring my husband and so far we have been waiting almost 15 months. My brother sponsored his wife in 6 months.

Yes is frustrating I hope this year it moves faster as here cairo visa office seems worst they even not send AOR 2 or reply on any email , I hope you will get good news too as they limited time for them until 31 dec 2017 to finish all . Mostly as many men have military service and so on travel too makes process longer.

Actually, it's not that they will finish all cases by December 2017. It's that they will finish 80% of cases. I think the Cairo visa office might have already been good at finishing that many cases within 12 months. So who knows if that really helps us. But yes. Everyday we hope that today will be the day we hear good news.
