hello everyone
i want to share my case with you maybe we help each other
i sent everything to canada and they sent a letter from few days ago said that i'm applyed and our file now in canadian embassy in cairo
and i have file number and when i phoned the embassy they told me i cant contact the immigration office but by e mail, so i dont know what i have to do right now or what is going on or how long its take till they contact me
P.S : i had change my home adress now
is that going to make any diffrance or they going to call me on phone not by post office
please anyone know anything about that help me cuz im so worry

you need to contact them about change of address here is a case specific email for cairo https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=cairo

They usually correspond by email and mail so update your address and put on the paper your file no.,name,address and a little note stating your address has changed.Most of our cases have been sent to ottawa I suspect yours will as well. From the time I recieved my letter of approval for sponserhip until his letter from ottawa it took 6 months.so be patient time line is a year.

If you can check you status online you should be able to see change of address underlined by your name and address which will take you to the address of the link I already gave you but you can double check.

louisa sorry but when i try to see my file online on the cic website they tell me this
We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons
so do i have to wait till i find any result then i change my address or i change it now ?

Hi Emadiao, I had the same result from the website until I got a new letter from Ottawa stating a new ID number.

The number on the sponsorship approval letter won't work.

You do indeed have a long wait.

Emadiano; I think you should contact them with the address change. It never hurts to give them more information than they ask for. It sure saves finding out that you should have sent it and it was required.

Just to be sure you are applying to sponser a spouse? and if yes whoever the sponser is that was approved that file number with their information should work on the site but if not use the cairo link I gave you to email them with all your information and file no. and a note stating you have an address change.Have lots of patience and welcome we complain on here too when we get to frustrated lol

Can you please share details on your timeline, such as date application reached Cairo and dates of any other correspondence you may have received from them. I am keeping a spreadsheet with all of our timelines.

emadiano, the letter or email you received from CIC Mississauga should have a file number that relates to you, the sponsor. Put all the information in the fields and it should bring up a screen that shoes your name and address with a link underneath to update. Update there.

Also please post your timelines so I can add you to our excel document.

the time we send it was june 14
they deliverd on july 18
they send our approvel letter on octoper 7
and now they said its in canadian embassy in cairo
i hope thats all information you was asking for
by the way i update my home address now
and they said they will answer after 28 days and my wife she say thanks for all informations you helped us with it and also if you can send us any new news or information we will be thankful best wishes for everyone and hope if anyone get news from the embassy hope he can share it with us thanks you everyone

Does my husband have to add my name on the "Additional Family Information" form? I notice under the names it's asking him to certify that he does not have a spouse or ex spouse. If he is married to me the Canadian citizen, does he sign that and leave the spouse box blank?

hello every one ,i have red most of your posts guys and wish you good luck all of you incoulding me lol i would like to share with you my case to update each other !time line started in Jan 25 ,2011 we got it approved in feb 22 for sponsorship file sent to cairo visa office in Mar.4 then we got letter from CCP by email in Sep frist that the file transferd to Ottwa. Then they asked us to pay in Sep 20 the right of PR we mailed to them becoz we didnt pay it Since that im reading your posts guys which is good to keep update each other !hope every one gets what he or she wants soon inshallah
