How soon after your sponsorship approval can you order your CAIPS/GCMS notes? when is the best time to order so you will be able to see up to date activities?

I sadly just ordered mine for the first time. I've been overwhelmed and confused and finally got around to it. It takes about 4 weeks to prepare. I've read some people order them every month.

Ordering every month is a good idea, it will let you stay on top of whatever the VO is concerned about your application, and allows you ample time to counter their concerns. I've seen many cases on this forum where the VO was concerned about something, then the member just submits more evidence and then they had interview waived. Its only $5, there's no reason to not order it every month.

It makes more sense to get every mo. at the business end of the app - I, myself ordered 1 every 15 days - 13 NOTES in all to date ( 1 after the processing was done too ), frankly, if it wasn't for the notes - I wouldn't be 2 steps ahead

oh wow..i thought i read on the site..it was 40 dollars to order?5 dollars is not bad...on the website it says to download file is..i guess that's not the right option I need.

I got my sponsorship approval March 7th and I'm already on my second set of notes. Should be getting them tomorrow if I'm lucky, Monday if I'm not. The first set didn't say much since they were so early, but I'm hoping these ones will have an update on our Medical situation. Ordering another set on Monday either way!

When I order this..does it have to be under my sponsor's information?

when is the right time to request for this notes in my visa office ..Manila and its normal processing is 14 months :)

No, it has to be the applicant's info, at least for when you write who you're ordering them for. You put your info in at the beginning.. I would really watch the video in user828's signature.. it's very helpful! If the applicant isn't in Canada s/he needs to sign a consent form for you to order for them.

I know the process is stated to be 30 days, but for those who have ordered them in the past, what was the time it actually took to get the notes? If you've made multiple requests, was the processing time consistent or did it vary?

Hi guys,

1. If I (the sponsor) am requesting a GCMS note on behalf of my wife (sponsored person), then my wife has to sign the consent form, correct?

2. And since the consent form has to be signed with a pen, it means that my wife will need to fill out the consent form using Adobe, print it out, sign it with a pen, scan it, convert it to PDF, then submit it to the CIC?

I've made two. The first one I got exactly 30 days later (Ordered on March 11th got them on April 10th, so I counted 30 from March 12th). Ordered the next ones April 10th (same day) and 30 days exactly will be Saturday. So hopefully I will get them tomorrow, or Monday if they don't send them out on weekends.

1. Yes

2. Yep! She'll have to sign it and scan it BUT then she can send it to you and you'll attach it as 'proof of consent' when you order the notes.

uggh seems like that form has to be filled out every time it is ordered.

Yes it can but you can also fill a ton out now and just don't date them. Next time you want to order them write the date! Easy peasy.
