I hope that this 12 months is for applicant who are not already selected by a immigration officer: i.e.: has not passed medical.

Remember, when you receive medical and that famous sentences in your ecas appears: "Your file has been reviewed and we started processing on....", it means that officer has reviewed your file and selected you based on minister instructions. You passed the pass mark and acceptable in terms of immigration requirements. We are at this stage. We need only a sec check and we are ready for PPR.

I am also frustrated by this 12 months. But I think there are many 2010, 2011, 2012 applicant of FSW in Buffalo who has not selected and therefore have not passed medicals. Thus, I assume our case would be on top of their list and will be looked over as soon as Ottawa finish transferring.

Again, I would like to emphasize to everyone that when you got medical, you are already "SELECTED". Your case wont be rejected unless you are a criminal or have security, medical problem. Accept this from me as I did a lot of internet porn on immigration forums and have several caips notes.

according to my capise notes , they already count my point by officer and my landing fess was cashed in dec 2011
i did medical and submit all kind of document , all document accepted by officer and its ok according capis , no more document required by officer

so y they will keep our file for more 10 month now , all type of clerence has been done

so i dont think so 12 month for those who already did medical

i called 3 time to cic , no one told me regarding any time limit , infact they told me that officer should start working all file those transfer to ottawa from buffalo

OK Everyone let's stay positve! I have hired a lawyer David Cohen to apply for my FSW and I am sure most of you know this law firm and the lawyer. So, when I called them couple of days ago to get an update on Ottawa Office they told me, I quote: 'Ottowa office is historically known for processing applications very fast!'. So, 12 month means in general for all apps transfered from Buffalo. Someone's app will take 3 mo and someone's 8 mo and it all depends on what stage of application we are. And overall in 12 month Ottawa will be done with all transfers. And those call center people give out very generic information anyways! My lawyer also told me we should start hearing from Ottawa by the end of August.

You have to read what I posted befor.. I have clearly explained, that I have already passed medicine... And now I have towait for 12 months , from date of recieving my file in Pilot Ottawa, and accomplished not important, what is the time I waited before..

You are correct...the 12 months might be max time to clean up all the files or an average time for processes. One thing I observed is from Bufflao all QSW applicants who has done their medical and criminal check clear got transferred to Detroit. I see all 2011 QSW applicants got PPR recently.

and all FSW who cleared medical and criminal checks got transferred to NewYork and they also started getting PPR.

and rest are transferred to Ottawa. Either our Criminal check is not started or in progress.

is there any one in this forum from QSW 2011 applicants ?

I am and my file is in Ottawa now. Ecase shows "In Progress" since May 2, 2012.

Hi Speednab, you got any mail or intimation that your file is in Ottawa? I see you are done medicals also.
It is strange that I have not received even medical requests too.

I am not sure what is wrong with my file.

I sent email to them and they confirmed that my file is in Ottawa and that they received the requested document by Buffalo and the case is under security check.
Check your spam or contact them and see what is going on with your file.

Yeah, I did that. I verified Spam folder every day and nothing in there.. I have sent couple of mails got no response from them.

I am thinking of contacting Local MP to look into this matter....will wait till August and will take further action.

Friends thanks for sharing information. Really cannot say what can be done to speed up the application from Ottawa at this moment. Still no change in status from March 30. No response of Fax email and phone (not going). This deserted situation at least was not expected from me from CIC offices before application

hi syed I got recently info that my file transferred to newyork vo.so that did completed my sec criminal stage
but no update still in process I asked to lowyer what gonna happen with my file
he said it has in positive mode
but question is that how do know those files passed criminal and security those transferred newyork
