My Friend..We all understand your frustration..We will see a bunch of these folks who have applied under MI3/4 receiving PPR before us..but in-spite of all odds we need to be positive..

Also..I would like to share a news..hope its good and it will give you a sign of relief.

Yesterday, I had called my attorney on why are we still waiting ... My attorney replied stating that the Ottawa VO generally takes between 1-5 months to send PPR notifications..So far its been only 2 months..

They are working hard to clear off the backlog..Hopefully everyone should expect some good news by Sept/Oct..As previously shared by someone..Ottawa has started sending PPR..So hopefully things should smooth out soon.

Also, if we send any communication mails rt now on our file status, we might end up receiving a standard response from them which wont make sense..So lets keep waiting and pray for each other.

yes this is sad that they process CEC very fast. I am also eligible for CEC but got stuck in FSW for 2.5 years now. I think it is too late to apply for CEC. However, guys there are a lot of ppl with same condition. Dont worry, these few years of waiting is almost nothing in our life. You will land soon and build a nice life in Canada as we are all professional. Dont worry, relax, enjoy the summer.

Reg. Ottawa, i have heard they are working hard. I hope it is so. it seems Canada really wants to improve and expedite immigration system, so this transfer to Ottawa is defiantly a good move for future applicants. It will make delays for our application for sure, but it is a positive move in their system. We were just unlucky to got stuck in this transfer.

Please remember that human life in general is very unfair. But we are still in the top 5% of the 7 billion population that suffering for many reasons. If you think of what you have, you will cope with this frustrating waiting game more easily.

I am also in touch with Doc and couple of others via email but this is my first post in this forum.

Well, I applied in 2010 – April, got 3 responses after that from Buffalo. The last one I got in 2012 – Feb to send just an updated FBI letter and I send the same to Buffalo.

Now I contacted Ottawa and they told they don’t have my file. I contacted New York then and they today replied after 5 days….

The problem is that CIC doing stupid things. I don't see any saving on this transfer. It other way creates a lot of extra work. In good administration process, you need to size down the buffalo office until they complete all applications at their office. You can reduce labor during this process. The transfer process increases the timeline increase work needed and resources from CIC.
The other stupid thing that CIC ignoring how the applicant may qualify under certain stream that may make her/his application faster and save money and get to Canada faster and work.
I am very frustrated by what they called FSW. CIC make it more complicated than it should be. Just accept certain quota and stop. Stop all not protective immigrations. Open only for the real stream that you want. Don't make people wait. All of us need to plane for our future.
CIC hurt us a lot. They affect our planning and future. If they give us a decision earlier, that will more helpful. Waiting for almost 3 years for process that take less than one year is it fair. This is shame on them. I will not forgive them their bad planning to handle this program. It s not my fault or any one fault to get in "blockage." It is CIC responsibility to full fit their promises to fit all their words. One of my professors: said to a student if I give you half mark and you pass the course I will hurt a student that ten years ago did not get this privilege. CIC hurt us when they didn’t complete our application process in same time as pervious application

how did you contact Ottawa. using mail or phone?
at least you know that your application is at Sydney.
when I contacted Newyork and Buffalo they sent me standard mail saying all files are transferred to Ottawa.
I sent a mail to Ottawa and also Detroit. I got no news from them all.
