Hi glowingheart:

I know that is what was done normally, but in a speech minister kenney gave earlier this year, he said it was his intention to make the new rules "retroactive," meaning they would apply to all of us as well. The reason he wants to do that is to be able to reject many more applications which cic believes are not good for canada.

Cam

if they want to reject any application they dont need to make new rules they will just do it its their country and they can accept who ever they want and reject who ever they want regardless of the present and past rules and the points they have

just my point of view

Rephrasing the same question asked before!

I received an email from OTT Pilot - Immigration yesterday (Aug 14) to get my medical exam done (with medical instruction forms). I am on Post grad work permit in Canada, expiring in Dec 2012. I am planning to get medical done this week and hope that i can get my PR before Dec 2012.
My question is, what is the current timeline on results (Immigration office asking for submitting passport & PR fee) after getting your medical done & assuming that my DMP sending results in two weeks to OTT ottawa pilot.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Also, should i be thinking about getting an LMO(have a permanent job with employer willing to file LMO) as i am close to my work permit expiration date.

Hi, with your medical request does they ask you to pay for Landing fee of $490...? If yes how?

Good news if any one decided to apply under CEC.

Me seriously thinking of applying under CEC.

My IELTS expires on Dec 4th 2012. Can i apply still, will my ielts can be considered now? any advices?

"Currently, to be eligible to apply, applicants under the temporary foreign worker stream of the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) must have acquired 24 months of full-time work experience within the last 36 months. Under the proposed regulatory changes, the requirement would be reduced to 12 months of experience. "

Hi Friends,

I do not have my original birth certificate, so i got one from Embassy here during FSW application. I do have scanned copy of that too.

Can i print & use these documents for CEC application?

Any body?

Ram

The changes are not retroactive, which means that only applications filed after Jan 1, 2013 will be considered under the new rules.

Read section # 17.

Hi justtheme,

Do you have any plans to apply under CEC?
How long you have your work permit valid for?
Can you please suggest for couple my post above for applying under CEC?

If you're applying under the worker stream of the CEC, you need 24 months of work experience. Otherwise you can wait until Jan 1. 2013 when the new rules will be effective. In that case you'd also need new IELTS results, given that your current ones expire in Dec. 2012.

As for me, I'm planning to apply for CEC. I already accumulated more than 24 months of work experience after graduation so I wouldn't need to wait for the new rules to be effective...

I too got 28 months already,

My question about Birth certificate? I have a scanned copy of birth certificate from toronto embassy.

can i use this & need to get one again?

Then you're all set. You only need a copy of your birth certificate. Here's the complete checklist: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5610E.PDF

Hi, Am also gathering all documents.

I gonna apply for PCC this week.

I have quick question for you. I do not have my original birth certificate.

During my FSW application i got one from Embassy in toronto. I have scanned copy of that.

Can i print & use that this time, does it have any validity like PCC?

Ram

hii

I got my medicals done in second week of marh 2012. Then I recieved email from buffalo in last week of may 2012 asking to submit updated FBI certificates for me and my spouse. I sent the FBi certificates last week to buffalo but the package returned to me from buffalo with a letter saying buffalo consulate closed and cases transferred to cpp-ottawa.
Now where should I send the docs? or shd i wait for any response from CPP-Ottawa. I sent them emails and fax but still no reply.
wht shd i do??

This is the reply i got when i sent an inquiry to Ottawa on my case

File Not Created YetDear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your email (see below).

If you are an applicant with a file being processed by this office:

We will contact you with further information once your file has been processed. Due to the high volume of correspondence received, we are unable to provide a status update to you at this time.

No further action is required by you at this time. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth, file number and your client ID number.

I know this is the standard reply but what is interesting is the first few sentence which says "File Not Created Yet"

I guess for all the transferred cases they haven't created a file in their systems yet and is delaying the process
