Hi,

Thank you members. Got the PPR request by email today. Got the PPR within 10 days of the documents submission(RPRF, police clearience etc..).

CIC has given timefram to submit passport within 60 days. below are my questions:

1) My wife's passport will expired in next 8 months, is it okay to renew her passport and send to CIC from USA
2) I am planning to change her name in the passport from madien to married, is it advisiable
3) I haven't been ask for the photographs, is it okay?

You don't need pictures. In our case they used the pictures we used in applying in 2011.

How long does it take for officer to make a decision? I got an email acknowledging that they received everything and that it was forwarded to officer for decision making.

I received passport request last week Friday, March 14, 2014. After 2 years of waiting, I thank God. May the others waiting get theirs with positive responses.

I have a question regarding prepaid return envelope to USA. I am in USA and I have been trying the Canada post website to buy a prepaid XPress post label without success. Each time I get to the payment stage, it indicates we have a technical problem. Please close your browser and retry later. This has been happening for days. I do not want them to return my passports with regular mail for fear of them getting lost. Any one has an idea how I can get a prepaid label for CIC to return my passports with tracking? I have tried FedEx and they stated they do not have that service even though I have a fedex account.
