Hi
This is time line : FSW2
We received your application for permanent residence on January 2012.
We started processing your application on September 2013.
Updated document request in Aug 2013
Medical request on 16-Sep 2013
Medical sent on 8-Oct 2013
Finally, E-cas updated with : Medical results have been received. (2-Nov)
when I got medical request, also got PCC request. PCC was sent in 2012 already..(probably more than a year old by now)
so emailed cic about it. cuz getting a new PCC takes 8 months apparently. never got response from CIC. actually lawyer sent another email after that, still no response.
since there is a line added to my e-cas, I don't need to worry about PCC?? I wonder everything is cleared and only need to wait for PPR.
First of all, If any government department should take 8 months to process PCC, I think the aim is defeated as most PCC are supposed to be valid for just 3-6months max, from the date of issuance.
That said, you need to be absolutely sure that you have heard back from CIC before you take the next steps. Don't assume that you are fine just because you have sent an e-mail. PCC is a major statutory document/requirement for PR. Unless you have a response from CIC saying that it's been waived, your documentation/file is incomplete. I think your lawyer should know this, and I hope he's working hard for your money.
Medical line appearing on ecas doesn't mean anything else other than what it says. Many people have had that line and got additional document request later. I am one of those.
