Hi,

In my PPR email I have found two addresses to send passports.

One is for Canada Post and the other is for Courier.

I was wondering which would be the right address from USA. Could anybody give me an idea how Canada Post works for USA. Is it for mailing inside Canada only?

Please use Courier service.

New ottawa processing time for Fsw has changed to 25 months :'( :'( :'( :'(

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

The tables indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October, 2012 to September 30, 2013.

Take it easy! :)

Hi, I am a FSW 2 applicant, I work for one of Canada's major bank and live in Calgary, I need some help here

My timeline is:
1. Applied for PR on March 19, 2013
2. Received confirmation email on March 29, 2013
3. Ecas shows " we stared processing your application on Oct 23, 2012"
4. Received medical request and paid Right of PR fee on Nov 05, 2013
5. Medical appointment is booked on Nov 14, 2013

My question is that does it sound right if I didn't receive request to update information ? Like the 3 forms people usually do. And when should I go for the finger print thing? I purchased house last year in Canada and spent most of my money on down payment, and I have a permanent full time job here, is it ok if I don't have that much savings left.

Thank you very much for help

What is PCC?

Hi
This is time line : FSW2
We received your application for permanent residence on January 2012.
We started processing your application on September 2013.
Updated document request in Aug 2013
Medical request on 16-Sep 2013
Medical sent on 8-Oct 2013
Finally, E-cas updated with : Medical results have been received. (2-Nov)

when I got medical request, also got PCC request. PCC was sent in 2012 already..(probably more than a year old by now)
so emailed cic about it. cuz getting a new PCC takes 8 months apparently. never got response from CIC. actually lawyer sent another email after that, still no response.

since there is a line added to my e-cas, I don't need to worry about PCC?? I wonder everything is cleared and only need to wait for PPR.

How long did it take yours? If they gave you 60 days. How long since the moment you sent it?

Hi everybody,

yesterday I got the request for updated forms, police certificates and updated funds. Yesterday I also got the responses from FBI, mine came back as "no record" letter while my wife's said that the fingerprints were of poor quality and resubmit them....unbelievable...nothing goes right!
Anyway, I called FBI and they said it will take up to 8 weeks again. The problem is that Ottawa gave me 60 days to submit everything, which is cutting it close to 60 days. What do I do if i'm late? should I write CIC and explain the problem?

thanks.

what is accurate? can you send he docs via e-mail except police certificates or ALL documents must be sent via regular mail to Ottawa?

Veri33, you Stated " I read here that people only send the original police certificates in the mail, the rest of the documents are scanned and sent via e-mail. Is this accurate?"

and I said yes it is accurate.

Except the Police certificate which you have to send by post because you need to send an original copy, all other documents which you have rightly observed must be scanned and emailed to the email address provided when they sent you the document request. You must remember to quote the officer's in the email. Hope this is clearer.

Cheers

Guys! I did my medicals on June 17 and until now, updated document, then CV and list of publications of my husband, and then what? NOTHING YET...WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT.... god knows when they send us PPR........

Did you check with them whether they have received your Meds? In our case after three weeks when we checked, we realised the doctor had not sent it. It is important to check to make sure your meds have been sent to cic.

Cheer up buddy, your application is already with Ottawa so your clock started ticking long ago, it does not mean you have to count 25 months from now for your case to be finalised. It is well.

Buying a house is a huge achievement and it is a big plus to have a permanent job. I think in addition to whatever you have in the bank, send them documents to prove you have just purchased a house and also a letter from your employer confirming your salary and that you have a permanent position.

Best.

We are FSW2 and since we have a job offer or in your case a job already they shouldn't ask for proof of funds. Someone told me if so just saying in a nice way fsw2 don't need to show this
Read in the page and you will find that too

Yes, except the email from CIC reads as follows:

" Please submit the requested documents/fees to the following address:

Attention: Case Analyst DB00204 – CPP-O

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa

219 Laurier Avenue West

7th Floor, Section B

Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1"

All documents to be sent via regular mail, not only police certificates. That where the confusion is, some people here said they sent them via e-mail, I'm wondering if their updated forms request was the same format email like mine. I would think it is anyway...

Thanks.

I see, with me, they specifically requested that the documents be sent by email. They gave the email address. It was only the Police certificate that was sent by post. Try sending them an email to confirm.

Is it normal for not updating information? The didn't ask

There were some people in the forum who were not asked to send updated documents. Some were asked to update after their medicals were done. In my case documents were requested before medicals and evidence of settlement funds was requested twice. I think it depends on each individual case and the discretion of the officer handling your case. If I were you I would add the house documents and the employment letter if they ask for settlement funds.

I am an FSW2 applicant as well and surprised to see your timeline .. your application seems to be moving really really quick.

I recently received my medical forms and the request to pay the RPRF in October. They did not ask me to fill out any additional documents and I believe it is not uncommon and should not be of concern.

As someone rightly pointed out, since you have an offer of arranged employment, you do not need to show any proof of funds. And owning a house here will definitely stand you in good stead.

I don't believe you have any cause for concern. Looks like you would be getting your PR pretty soon !

Still can't believe the timeline of your application .. was it under any special category or something ? usually the CIC takes around 15 months on an average to process an application under the FSW2, hence wondering :)
