How long do you think it will take to get passports back?clare2012 said:Yes, since my case has been transferred to NY this April.
Really? Aw... I am so unlucky then. I'm in Houston, USA. But got a job in Edmonton!sharuu said:haha.. O Well! Are you in USA or in Canada? If you want to live in edmonton, there has been some serious snow this year!
I remember it snowed 30 cms one week..Edmontonbound said:Really? Aw... I am so unlucky then. I'm in Houston, USA. But got a job in Edmonton!
i remember that too. Because the interviewer was telling me over Skype that they were enjoying 30 cm of snow there. He even raised suspicion about my ability to acclimatize to the snowy weather! Lol. I guess that was the toughest question for me to convince my interviewer that I would. Eventually, he was convinced enough I guess.sharuu said:I remember it snowed 30 cms one week..
Your employer will wait for you until you get PR? Your field might have a lot of shortage of skilled workers if hes able to wait for so long..Edmontonbound said:i remember that too. Well, I applied for my work permit. It seems like PNP applicants don't need LMO. I obtained a 'letter of support' from Alberta Immigration office. With that letter, I applied for my work permit and TRV. So, now I have my fingers crossed. If I get the permit/visa, then I will perhaps come to Edmonton long before I get PR. For I can't wait for PR, as it may take another 10/11 months or may be more. Who knows? Ask Sharuu, he knows better.sharuu said:Your employer will wait for you until you get PR? You shouldnt look at my case as it was out of the ordinary one. I think you should hear something soon, maybe in the next month or so!Edmontonbound said:Well, I applied for my work permit. They tried for 6 months. Never found one.
Maybe one month and a half I think. The holidays will make the mailing period longer.sharuu said:How long do you think it will take to get passports back?
I do hope you are correct. Then I will admit that you are the 'god' of this thread. He hesharuu said:You shouldnt look at my case as it was out of the ordinary one. I think you should hear something soon, maybe in the next month or so!
I believe I should contact CIC and remind them about us. Otherwise we are going to be forgotten.lonereed said:So In your case, contacting MP doesnt help at all?
