its not true always..if you have plans to get your citizenship then you will be facing some difficult questions in the citizenship interview...especially Quebec CSQ...its good to maintain some duration in the province bfore moving out...i have seen lot of ppl who get PR and next day they land in another province...though legally you are not bound to anything to stay in one province...citizenship judges have the final say and you might face some tough questions and need to province lot of justifications why you moved out of province etc..

If your PNP is from Ontario, yes you can i have conformed from PNP Ontario office... if its other provinces you may have to consult them but as far as i know if you have lived two years of after the PNP nomination i.e. getting PNP certificate you can move to any province you want however i don't know if that same policy applies for Quebec.

Well personally i don't think there will be a problem in getting citezenship assuming that province is not Quebec, Quebec has totally different policy on Immigration and Citizenship. If you look at CIC, citizenship has condition of living certain days in Canada to be citizenship, it doesn't say living certain days in specific province therefore i don't think there will be any problem if you move to different province after getting PR however to be on safe side one should consult the province before taking ay steps..

I live In Alberta and want to move to Ontario right after I get my pr. Since, my spouse lives there.
But, I don't know if I have to stay another two years in Alberta after I get my pr?
I asked someone and they said that they can take my pr away if I move out of alberta.

Congrats to your friend. Could you pls tell us what happened with her medical, June 2012 sounds a very late medical for a May 2011 applicant? Thanks
