What is the status in ECAS?
@ Chatdips... It's just application and medical received.

Mine is also the same since Sep. Once the status becomes In Process then the PPR would come.

My application was received Nov 16, 2011 and medical received June 2012. Ecas shows med. received and not in process. How long do my application has to stay before I can request for GCMS?

No, I don't think so. For CPP-O, PPR will come first, then the ecas may change to 'In Process'!

Guys, ready for the most important day of this week, i.e. Tuesday :P? I'm hoping a few of our guys will get tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm enjoying my last pleasant winter in Houston, 'coz I know by next year this time I will be in Canada! ;)

Hows everything there? I heard about the thunderstorm, eh. Hope all is well :)

Hello Edmontonbound
I dont agree with you or the others...the TRUTH is that these processes are UNPREDICTABLE and DIFFER
from applicant to applicants. I have witness someone Ecas reading "Application Received' even when the person has
landed in Canada.
And similarly, l have also seen someone with In Process for ver 7 months now. It all varies!!!
But one thing for sure, is that if anyone has done his/her medicals and there are no complications
with the medical, should just RELAX and WAIT...
PPR will SURELY COME ONEDAY by God's Time & Grace!!!...Stay HOPEFUL & FAITHFUL
It will SURELY, SURELY come !!!

You can request GCMS anytime you want.. you are in a better position compared to pre sep 2011 applicants as our files went to buffalo and then to ottawa.

I applied for a GCMS note on 12th September, haven't received it yet !

I sent an e-mail to Ottawa and got the following response -

File number : **********

Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is in process . No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number.

Regards,

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Trainement Pilote - Ottawa
Citizenship and Immigration Canada | Citoyenneté et Immigration Canada
219 Laurier Avenue West | 219 avenue Laurier Ouest
7th Floor | 7 ème étage, Section B
Ottawa, ON K1A 1L1

This is the first time I got a response from them with my file number and which is not an automated response. I really need my GCMS note right now !

What did you ask Ottawa about? GCMS or the status of your application?

i got the same reply just after 2 hrs of the mail, if mp sends the mail same reply, if client sends the mail same reply.......i think ts genric.

hey sharu i need ur advise , i know that doing marriage at this stage is not a good idea bt sometimes family circumstances can't wait for long time as we dont knw which lucky tuesday will be for us, so if by any chance if i marry at this stage and report them, will it further delay the already dealyed speed of file or will make my case more complicated?

It is going to delay the process - checks need to be done, medicals needs to be done and so forth. You are part of the transfer cases so the queue is pretty long and the due dates could be much far apart.

i know queue is even getting longer day by day, bt how come they are giving pprs to the persons who applied late in this year? i have no clue what kind of system they are running? but do u have any idea that how many pprs they sanction in a day?

A late update...

I got PPR on Oct., 2,2012. My passport is now on the way back.

My documents transferred to Ottawa on 5/16.

It had been a long wait... GCMS notes were very helpful. Thanks for Sharuu's suggestion. Also, from my experience, CPP response my email request in about 3 weeks...

Best wishes for you all.
