I sent email to Ottawa asking the status of my application Friday the 26 Oct


and today at 2:40 PM I receivred the reply saying
your application is in process , and no futher action is required by you at this time

Are they at work Sunday ??????????

They hardly ever work in weekdays, how in hell you think they gonna work on Sundays

Cant say.. it depends upon when your file gets reviewed and processed. It can be earlier or later than that!

Some people have gotten replies from their MP saying it needs till march 2013 and some say 12 months from now... I guess what I am 100% sure is that am not gonna hear anything from ottawa this year

March 2013, to process all files? To be quite honest it shouldnt take more than 1 year since they started processing your file so if they started in October, next october should very well be the deadline to finish the files. July 7th was the first batch of transfers since the file got closed so we are in queue with them. December is usually slow due to the holidays so much shouldnt be expected up until 2013.

I think March 2013 comes about because its actually 6 months from the time they started processing the files which is October. So, if they are saying they will finish processing the files by March, it means they think 6 months is required to start processing them. 1 month has gone by and not many have received PPR. Lets see how many more will get in the coming months.

If you havent, you can try getting GCMS and if they have reviewed your file since it was received at Ottawa?

all predictions fail even of pandits when it comes to cic working, if they are working on sundays....then there hould be 2x the speed of ppr..........u cant take any decision of ur life until u get ths paper...now they came with new rule of sponsoring wife.....kindly read that.....rules change everyday bt situtation of client id remains same..........fingers crossed.
