BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Hi hmdlsd, wow in your 20th month. That is a very long time. Below is my timeline of events. I did order notes on my case on 10/10/2012. I have not heard back. Are those emailed or mailed ? I am very surprised as I thought CIC had a better system in place and after buffalo closed, it's just been no information being passed to the applicants.

Medical Completed 10/24/2011
Approved Part 1 1/13/2012
Requested additional information 2/17/2012
Back UP information sent 2/23/2012
Fingerprint check requested thru RCMP 3/12/2012
Fingerprint check Mailed to RCMP 4/4/2012
Results sent by RCMP to Canadian Consulate for finger prints 5/11/2012
Notification via email that case was transferred to Ottawa 6/22/2012
Ottawa help desk email states file was transffered and is working thru a large number of files at same time 9/17/2012
Ottawa help desk sends email stating that I should hear from an agent within 2 months 10/17/2012

So friends, October is almost gone by. I can't hope for myself (which actually would be unjustified) when I know there are many 2011 applicants are waiting for about 20 months. I know people will advise (albeit redundantly and much to my exasperation) to wait. But that's no advice as such. Because, somebody advises or not, I will wait as that's the only option for me anyway.

Days and weeks are passing by and no signs of PPR. I am wondering what CPP-O is indeed doing. Just sorting the Buffalo files for the last 3 months or so! If it is true that their effort can be best described as ludicrous. Now, somebody will say, it will be November when we can actually hope for some PPR.

And the eternal wait and the perpetual hope continue.....

Someone mentioned there are still unopened boxes from Buffalo ...

I dont agree with you on this .It doesnt say anywhere that file goes in queue according to the lock-in date.........See the link below. Check section 5.24

Lets be honest nobody knows the procedure. And this point only god knows when we will get our PPRs.
Some of us have been lucky to get their PPRs early but most of us have suffered due to CPP-O incompetence.

Lock in date, I think it does enter the queue but not by lock in or date applied. I think the group name has some significance. The group represents the stage your file is in and is allotted to a VO. If a final review is only left, they will make a group of you and send it off to a VO to review. It can be that group comprises of a 2010 applicant, 2011 or 2012.

Same here Pal. I'm a grad. student in Montreal. I applied in Dec. 2010 and no PPR yet. My colleague applied in Nov. 2011 and he landed last month. I don't understand what is going on....
