The fee is the right of permanent residency if I am right and for every single person is 490 CAD. Not sure how it changes for families more than 2.

It would be better if CIC launches a lottery scheme for PR...at least it will be called a lottery so people's expectations will be same.

At this point, I think it will be more of a relief than excitement. My medicals expire today as well.

Yes I agree, at this point it will be more of a relief than excitement. Every day I waste a significant amount of time tracking the progress. This system is a **** ** **** for 2011 applicants.

any idea how much delay it causes if you have to do medical again??? like they will send the request, then you do that and results take about a month to get uploaded by Ottawa.... hmmm easily looking at 2 more months

better to redo the medicals again in advance.....

About the expiry of medical results, the assistant of the MP in my district told me that I can request to extend the validity of the medical examination if any of me my family members have not suffered any serious disease and have not left Canada for more than six months since the medical examination

u can't redo the meds on ur own, send them an email first to check the situation.
some of us live outside canada, all this wasted time, is not coming back and irreplaceable, i am just waiting that's all am doing, i can't even work in the USA under f1 visa. i hope i can make up for it once i go there.

I dont think we need to re do medicals. Its in the bulletin whereby if the only thing pending your PPR is medical expiration then medicals can be extended for 3 more months. I have seen 2 applicants who got them extended. I believe at a point all of 2011 applicants will have their medical expired. Ottawa will not ask all of us to re do our medicals. I would suggest not to worry about this. If you are looking at requesting GCMS anytime soon and a VO has looked at your case, it should be under Notes - I believe.
