BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

I already contacted MP and today only I got reply from them that Ottawa said they have not assigned any officer yet to my file.
the standard reply...and also said I may get some news may be around next year july

i thought QSW is suppose to be fast and easy...but looks like it is not

you should send e-mail to cpp-ottawa explaining your case , and saying that you did not receive any medical request
and also just saying that it is almost more than the time usual for processing

Received our passport requests today from CPP-Ottawa, for submission to Detroit, 18 months since applying to the (now closed) visa office in Buffalo .

Better late than never though, eh?

Best of luck to the rest of the pre-August 2011 Buffalo applicants still waiting, I hope this is the start of a load of PPRs being issued!

Hello Folks,

I received my GCMS notes today, and following are the differences between this GCMS and first GCMS:

1. They have started security clearance, however it looks like they are only doing security clearance of my wife, under security screening section (under my wife's security section) it says the security screening type: Record Check Anyone have idea what does that mean?

2. The recent note says the medical likely to be extended.
3. It says application category type: PV2 what does that mean?
4. Group Name still says PR - Waiver, i have no idea what does that mean.
5. Its weird back in March, i submitted the address change form however they only updated my address but my wife's address under GCMS is still old. So folks please clarify in cover letter that your wife is moving with you when you submit change address form.

One more thing, they started working on my fine on July 9th 2012, however the file was transferred to Ottawa on May 16th 2012.

I sent them to check earlier and they said there is no action required from my side. but notes says they did sent the mail.
today again I sent another mail, I have no hope that they will respond to that mail..

When did you contact your MP? Its been a month and I haven't heard anything from the MP office.

If we do get our medicals extended, does it mean we get a new due date and that it needs to be sent to another Visa Officer to do that? I hope it doesnt extend just because our Medicals are expiring

u worry too much, ignore the medicals they will extend them for u, it's their fault. medical doesn't come cheap so they better for it if they as for second ones

I dont worry buddy... Its been nearly 19 months just want to get it over with!
