April 2011 filed to Buffalo--> May 4 2012 file transferred to Seattle--> In Process in middle of June 2012 (due to sending email to VO, next day In process showed in ECAS)-->July 16 PPR.

谢谢啊,希望你的也赶快下来,我是11年4月递的水牛城,今年5月4日转的西雅图,7月16号PPR的.6月中的样子在我发了一封邮件后第二天改成了in process..经常催催他们会快一点

I hope we see some PPR from Ottawa to get some idea how they are working now!

sending email and the ECAS status changing is very strange. Shows that CIC has no fix agenda or queue? They receive the email and then get a jolt.

dont agree to this ways of working from CIC.

I hope so too.. but it seems 2012 applicants are getting PPR. If you are a 2012 applicant, there are more chances of getting PPR than 2011 - just going by the way 2012 applicants are getting PPR. I am hoping its 2011 applicants should hear something soon...

In case if we did not hear from them this month, should we email them? What we should do?
Waiting is killing me, being without my family is like a death, miss them bad my husband my beautiful children...GOD Please

Well, it is upto you. I believe we shall start hearing from Ottawa around September. However, nothing can be said as I do not know anyone who has gotten PPR from Ottawa yet! I believe most files would have been transferred to Ottawa by July and giving them 2 months to review is what I expect.

Hey Sharuu,

Have you emailed Ottawa that you are nearing to your deadline (September 13)? That's when you have to do your landing and the expiration of your permanent resident visa, unless they will extend it because of the situation. Like, you would run out of time. You should have your ppr by now.
If you havent emailed them yet, please email them and tell your case, you'll never know, they would prioritize your application.

Hey haybu12

They always comeback with the same reply in their automated response. In regard to the medical exam, I think for INLAND APPLICANTS it is extendable. But, then again who knows. I think it can be extended 3 more months after it is expired, so 15 months is the extended deadline but then again it depends on the Visa Officer.

I think i just have no choice than waiting.. :(

I just want to share the email I got from Seattle to submit my passport:

On receipt of your passport(s), your permanent resident visa(s) will be valid until October 6, 2012 or your passport expiration date, whichever is shorter. Please note that this is the date on or before which you and all of your accompanying dependents must present your immigrant visa(s) to a Canadian immigration officer at a port-of-entry into Canada to become a permanent resident...

The immigrant visa placed in your passport has an expiry date. You may enter Canada any time before the expiry date. The expiry date cannot be extended. If you fail to enter Canada before this date and still wish to immigrate to Canada, you must reapply by submitting a new application and paying a new processing fee. There is no guarantee a future application would be successful.

They highlighted the line that expiry date of the visa cannot be extended. So, that's what I was thinking. Unless, files that were transferred to Ottawa will be given special consideration. Hope you get PPR soon!

I agree that the expiration of PR Visa is your medical examination expiry. But, if our medicals expire they can extend that deadline for 3 months. I know in the email it says they can not, but if they are not able to finalise the application then I believe they will extend the deadline. I think the email is more like we need to submit the passport asap as the deadline is coming closer. But, if the deadline is really really close I think they extend that date of landing - which is based on medical expiry!
