It is not required, but it would be of no harm if after a week or so, just send them an email with your file number, and ask when are my GCMS Notes due. This should serve two purposes, you know you filled the form correctly and know the exact date when you should expect it.
hi sharuu,
i have already sent a request for GCMS Notes on June 28, and i have not heard anything since then. Do you think i should wait further? or Should i email them to make sure they have received my request? In case i need to email them, what's the email address for inquiring about GCMS notes?

thanks a lot for ur help!

it takes 30 business days

I email New York office once a month to get the updates, and they always replied after 2 or 3 business days. But the last time I emailed (a week ago) they didn't reply yet... Maybe they are pissed off :(

try to keep your contact to a minimum guys, I know waiting is tough! GCMS Notes will you so much more and it takes 30 days to get it.

It seems like most people's files have been transferred to Ottawa. People who have received GCMS Notes or are going to receive the notes soon, should note that. I think once they receive our file at Ottawa, it should not take more than 2 months to receive an update from them. I believe September is the month when we should be looking at a few PPRs coming through!

Well it would have been nice to start processing them earlier rather than waiting until the end of August. This could have reduced the backlog. Hope they will be relatively quick in finalizing those applications. Although they are also processing the TRV's and Sydney applications.

Plus 900 FSW applications who file law suit against CIC and they won, CIC is entitled to finalize those applications by October. CIC has forwarded those cases to CPP Ottawa. So I think they are in top priority than our files.

my reading is that the immigration ministry is going to ignore them, at all, because it is subject to the Mr.Kennedy's decision whether or not to revisit these applications, and his secretary made it clear Minister has no attention to do that. Just google the related news. I read it in less than 3 weeks.

So, no effects on PNP.

I will suggest to re-read, they have lost the case and judge has ordered Mr Kenney to process those applications by October, i already read posts of people who were among 900 applicants and they know their applications are now in Ottawa. Please google it again or send me links where you find that information.

It seems justice Rennie instructed to finalize one specific application by October 14th.

Although from trackitt record it seems PNP stream is not moving forward.

I hope you be right my friend but i doubt..

Although it has been communicated that Federal court has ordered the timely processing of all the pending applications, the practical problem is that backlog is huge. To tackle this problem, Federal court has also given a solution that process all the applications of the higher priority first till October 14, 2012 thus giving prospect to other candidates of process of their application with in time to come.

please have a look at this:

I will post links shortly from where i got that info regarding 900 applicants..
