Do you have any idea how long BG checks takes, my last GCMS says they have started additional BG Checks and my MP's assistant says they have sent to Pakistan.. any ideas how long it takes from Pakistan?

How did you know that they started additional BG checks on you? I mean, which section in your GCMS notes indicated that?
My Security has been in "Not Started" for a long time... I don't know what is going on here. Maybe they are doing additional BG checks as well...

Under Admissibility, there should section of Security. Under the security there is Sub-Activity section, try to see what information it gives you, is there any Updated Date, Status, Security Screening Type fields blank or hidden. By hidden i mean there will be some marks left during hiding process. If you are not sure try to approach MP, i knew through MP and when i got GCMS, i compared it with old GCMS and i found the difference between security sections, this is how i got assure they are doing additional BG checks.

I hope so buddy.. Most of the applicants hearing from Ottawa are Post September applicants or 2012, so I am not too hopeful. Are you getting GCMS or contacting MP anytime soon? I just hope to get it done with within 2012!

This is the only way i can keep myself living the normal life.

Well, I contacted MP and was told that the time actually starts once an application number is attached to your file, so technically I have been waiting for 12 months and the 6 months I waited for AOR dont count Anyways, I will be getting GCMS in 3 weeks so hopefully some updates then I guess! Any updates on your side? Contacted MP or GCMS?

I think Sept 2011 AOR recepients should hear soon, not only is the medical expiring the deadlines are 1 year from AOR issued. Well, who knows at this point. I just want all 2011 applicants to hear back within 2012 itself!

not yet.....I am still within timelines so both things are futile although I know 2012 applicants are getting PPR which is kind of making me feel a bit down but then again, I cant quote that to MP....every case is different he will say...

Smokhtari got the PPR and he is also September applicant. so hope is in the air. his timeline is quite same to mine

are you on WP Sharuu?? when is that expiring? because I think its just a matter of time for you now...if your work permit is taken care of, no need to worry at all... 8) you are going to her the good news soon my friend
