I did it in april, cause I anticipated getting the request in may / june from my caips notes as the next bfd was june 2nd....it may / maynot speed up the process.. depends on your VO... since after your request and completing the exam it takes 6 weeks to be entered into their system... I saved these 6 weeks hopefully.... I used the sticky barcodes that I received with my 2nd AOR...
cool

When we got our 2nd AOR it came thru email but we did not got any sticky barcode stickers.

Assume we can't do it without, am I right?

you can give them the file number you got from Buffalo, that will do the job as well.

bar-code stickers is just sticker having file no. (in digits & bar-code)
as zulkfal said, it should be fine to write file no. by hand.

I have got bar-code stickers, but one of my friend did not get, as he got 2nd AOR by e-mail.

Thanks to you all.
Might wait another couple of weeks before we will do meds.

Good luck to all of us ;)

Hey guys ... just got back from an adventurous day of getting my medicals done with 400 miles of driving ...

I picked the DMP in St. Louis, Missouri ... Dr David Campbell ... who charged $355 ... which sounded much better after hearing about the $440 of Dr Serafin Veramendi of Chicago, and $425 of Dr James Arons of Chicago ... and it was a smooth experience (not including the driving and hassle of getting to St. Louis in the first place) ... x-ray facility was not in DMP's office but was less than 2 miles away on the same road ... 30 minutes in DMP office, 5 minutes of drive to X-ray place, and 20 minutes there, and I was done (no need to go back to DMP office) ...

I read the instructions and it seems I don't need to inform Buffalo or CIC that I've completed the medicals ... what u guys think?

now i'm a proud 'PPR waiter' lolz ... though that pride won't last more than 24 hours after which I'll be desperate to become a 'PPR receiver' already ... :D

good luck to everyone ...

Hi Guys!!!

Great news!!! just received my passport request from Buffalo!!!! after a long wait finally came through. I'm planning to go this Thursday early morning.

Just one question:

1. Do you need to apply for the PR card in other place? or it'll get to my address in Canada directly?
2. Does anyone have any experience in landing within category FSW2?

Thanks a lot for your support guys! This forum has been really helpful...

1. Your PR card shall be automatically applied at landing provided you have a mailing address in Canada.
2. We got our visa stamped in Buffalo yesterday and landed in Canada the same day. Everything went very smooth. we were in Buffalo Consulate at 8 and were out with visa at around 10:30. You need proof of financial resource at the time of landing and it is better to have a list of items you'd be moving to Canada when you move your house hold. Other than that, I cant think of anything.

processing time

Hi all

Does anybody know whether the 17-month processing time consider the whole process or only the buffalo process?

Best

Best

Process start when Full documents recieved by CHC and file transfer by CIO to your local CHC (time frame is vary depend on application some application some CHC started process when the CHC recieved full documents couurrier, so some CHC count days from when they recieved the courier but just average count after RBVO to your local CHC).

Thanks Atif, we did the visa stamping and landing today. As you said everything went very smooth. Proof of funds and list of items were not required as I was under arrangement employment category I was already living in Canada, so nothing to declare.

Yeap, the change of status and it was smooth ;). Good luck Elar. Me and other will have to cope with a lot of things "up-north" there :(

guys... some of you have done the medical.... so how much time it takes to complete the tests?
Blood, Urine, X-Ray, Examination?
any precautions or suggestions?

it took me 35 mins to complete the xrays, blood and urine test and another 15 mins for DMP check up. He asked some simple question. if you are in Toronto don't use DMP on Jane Street. Too lazy. I did my medicals three weeks ago and they are still waiting for results of blood and urine test.

thanks zulkfal , u r always helpful. I am in USA, so can't use that doc. I have appointment in USA & my doctor's office is saying that they will send reports by USPS & if I want to send it by Fedex & want o have that tracking # , then they will charge another $50.
