i envy you buddy ... envy you very much

Hi guys,so finally it's all done,completed my ppr n landing the same day,ino i shud
had posted this info much before but can't stop partying till date , have been drinking crazily with frnds,,,
anyways all was done fine,,went to detroit persoanlly,was in dere office first thing in the morning,i thot i wudn't get the passport
same day but did end up finishing it all ,they recalled me at 2pm after submission of pp at 9am,had to spent almost 5 hours sleeping
on detroit riverside on a bench n was so restless all along...
but finally got in at 2pm,they gave me all the stuff with a smile n a greet saying welcome to canada
then finally landed by road from detroit border at 10 pm n officially on 26th may 2011,10 pm onwards i became a permanent resident of canada...
3 days after can't still stop partying... honestly my brain still doesn't feel n realize that yes iam a permanent part of this country now,lols
but i think slowly will get use to it..it been a great pleasure reading on this forum...hope to continue to read it that interest me a lot....
n now will try my best to answer any query ppl wud ask me...

Today got Medical request for my daughter and receipt for RPRF+Dependent payment from Buffalo. My daughter's meds have already received by RNH-Ottawa on 24th May. it was really quick, buffalo received docs on 17th May, issued medicals on 20th May. Now wait for PPR starts.

I requested CAIPS, but after 1-1/2 I got a one-page note. On top of this page is written "FOSS CHECK". It contains just only my points and additional doc requested from the visa office.

1. Does this calculated point show that my paper screen is finished?
2. Should I have to wait more to get CAIPS?
3. Generally what is the FOSS CHECK? where the information comes from?

@ zulkfal ... how do you contact RNH-Ottawa to find out if they've received medicals? if it's the fax (613-941-9528) then I'll have to do it from a FedEx-Kinko's and won't have a return fax number ... how would they reply?

can i give them my email address (for reply) in the fax?

2) I sent an email to Buffalo couple of days back to ask the status of my request to add my daughter to my application and I mentioned in email that she already did her medicals. In reply, today I rcvd the email that says my wife and daughter's meds were rcvd by RNH on 24/05. Therefore, when I rcv med form for my daughter, I can ignore those but don't destroy till case is finalized.

what I can guarantee is that your documents have been just qualitatively assessed therefore you have received 2nd AOR. Your file is still waiting for initial assessment (when a line is added to you e-cas we start processing your application on XYZ). wait/order caips for more clarity on this.

2. Should I have to wait more to get CAIPS?

For VO outside Canada you need CAIPS. CAIPS is a long document and have all the information and notes on your files.

Foss for information in Canada
CAIPS information abroad

your Foss check says you have 70 points bcz this was calculated by CIO-NS a Canada based office. Foss will not disclose information from Buffalo.

In FOSS CHECK, There is line for additional doc from Buffalo with date that VO requested them from me. So, it means that there is connection between VO and FOSS CHECK. The calculated point is based on my document sent to VO not to CIO.

I requested CAIPS from regional office of immigration and citizenship in Ontario, they sent me FOSS and request more information from headquarter in Ottawa.

The line in my ECAS is "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on August 27, 2010."

Do you have idea about my case?

If you have this line in your status then send a case specific inquiry to VO, or contact your local MP's (bcz your applying under FSW-3 that means you are in Canada) office. He will be able to get all the information on spot over the phone.

i'm in Toronto and am planning to send my passport across with a friend to buffalo...is this an acceptable method??..just that canadapost may go on strike next week and i dont want to risk sending via canpost...
