They didn't tell me the date of transfer. CIC office is located very near by to St.Clair subway station. The officer who talked to me is very nice person and took extra step to login to Buffalo office system (he told, usually they don't do that!!).

smallduck! your news is like an oasis in the middle of a desert

however your file was in NY not in Buffalo and that worries me ...

which means no guarantee Buffalo is gonna speed up? i hope that's not the case

upon checking smallduck's profile he indeed had a very fast processing in NY hope we all had the same timelines though, however it got me confused whether there is another visa office in NY besides Buffalo? just asking:)

Hello,

I am silent observer of this thread and I have a question:

I have applied under FSW1 category and my visa office is buffalo and received my 2nd AOR in JUNE 2010.

In July, I got new job but the problem is, I have not informed the Buffalo visa office till date. So, Is it advisable to inform the visa office or will it be a negative impact on my file?

thanks

If your new job is on the list for this year, it shouldn't be a problem. But if it's not, I'm sure that there will be a impact on your completeness of your file. Personally I would keep my mouth shut, VO had enough problem already ;)

Hey Smallduck..

Please look at my time line.

I am waiting for Medical from Buffalo VO.

What you suggest, when will i get that???

My e-cas shows IN PROCESS but it dosen't say like "we had started processing your application on date XXXXX"

so is it really in process or just system error.

Please reply.

Thanks

I guess IN Process is really "in process" and it shouldn't be a error here :D. Otherwise we can't rely on the Ecas anymore. I'm not familiar with Buffalo time frame so I don't know when you receive Med Req. I myself received Med Req 1 day after changing to "In process" (similar to your XXXXX dated)

Thank you for your reply.

My new job is not in the list and I am also thinking to apply for the visitor visa at NY visa office. Do you think that if I mention my new job at the time of visa, it will negatively impact on my PR file? If yes, then what should I do?

thanks

Hi seven,

Buffalo office never informed u about file transfer to Detroit? :o usually, they inform us through email.
Did the officer tell u when ur file was transferred to Detroit?what is ur current e-cas status?

My 2nd AOR is on 15 April 2010 from Buffalo office. So, I walked down to CIC local office in Toronto to ask about what is happening with my application. They took my File # and they told that, my file is transferred to Detroit office and BFD is 14 April 2011 (they set BFD date as 1 yr from AOR!!!!!. :o :o). They did not update this change on ecas status and I am following Buffalo office discussion threads all these days :P :P :P

Now I need to look for some threads related to Detriot. How different is this Detroit office from Buffalo..are they processing faster...u guys know any thing about this Det office...

Well, I have a different opinion about this. If you have meet the requirements under one FSW-1 category and you have applied then I don't think doing a new job under different NOC will impact your application. I applied under FSW 1111, but now looking for positions in financial advisory or business consulting and before doing that I spoke with Buffalo people and they said no issue. People immigrated under FSW-1 drive cabs here but not every one. Those who have updated their skills in Canada got settled well.

Visitor visa application doesn't have any impact on you PR application, two different paths one is temp and other is perm app. The VO will need you to satisfy them that you will leave Canada before your visit visa expires they don't reject you on basis of your PR app. The returning requirement means that you will live in Canada legally and when your legal status expires you will leave Canada.

Hi Pearl2010,

They never sent an email regarding the transfer to Detriot and my ecas status shows still "RBVO" only. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed for that 14th April (my BFD date). I am hoping that they will issue a medical request atleast on that date. I can't afford another BFD on my file.

Thanks,
Seven

Hi Simp,
Office name is : CIC Office, Toronto (google it to get the actual location, near by St-clair subway station). There is no separate department, as soon as you go there, you have to take your number from a machine and wait for you turn. Once they call your number, you can go to the officer and explain him/her about your situation. Try to impress the officer, like you don't know any thing about your application status and mention him the time frame of your application (like 16 months for my case). Then they will take a look at your application either by your client id or file #.

Thanks,
seven
