It has been discussed on this forum times and times over.
But here it is again:

Sept. 27th program: http://www.parl.gc.ca/Content/Sen/Chamber/421/OrderPaper/056op_2016-09-27-e.htm

You can follow the advancement of Bill C-6 here: http://www.parl.gc.ca/legisinfo/BillDetails.aspx?billId=8117654&Mode=1&Language=E

For Bill C-24, the Committee meetings were on the day after the 2nd reading and the Royal Assent was 2 days after the 2nd reading as you can see it here: http://www.parl.gc.ca/legisinfo/BillDetails.aspx?billId=6401990&Mode=1&Language=E

So, if and only if, Bill C-6 goes through smoothly like C-24 did, we MIGHT get the Royal Assent as soon as September 29th.
Everything is of course, very speculative. Nothing is set in stone. Especially with a Conservative-dominated Senate.

Senate won't create any problem. It would be just how soon CIC can implement the changes

After Royal Assent, CIC have 12 months to implement it. They can do it as soon as 1 day or as late as 12 months.

I dont think so Senate have any mandate to pass a bill within a specific time frame, but usually they pass things quickly unless there is a hiccup. Senate don't create problems for parliament in Canada. Royal assent is quick as well. After that the concerned department have upto 12 months to implement but its not always that they take full 12 months. They can move as soon as next day. In this case, my prediction is the it will happen within this year.

Some positivism! I like that! :)
Personally, I think like you do.

Finished debate today, no vote, will continue in future day.
What does it mean? That they're done with the second reading and will go on with the third?
Or that they haven't finished the 2nd reading?
I don't get it ???

Means: they're so lazy and remain in the holidayssssss mode. They'll continue discussing the second reading later, probably tomorrow.

Only 5 seating days left until the Thanksgiving holiday break.

That's another problem besides the seemingly delay plan the Senates have in mind.
