your application considered as 3 applications. I got my BOWP first and still waiting for my dependents, but I guess, if your dependents are here in Canada with you, all of you will get them at same time and it should not affect the processing time.

No they are not.

I got it in 30 days or so. Don't worry I see that you applied on 27th Jun, so it is not even 1 month. I hope you will get by end of this month or latest by first week of Aug. All the best.

I just received my BOWP in the mail!

I applied on May 14 (received on May 15) via paper application WITHOUT AOR (hadn't received it at the time). Valid until June 26 2014

I am in a similar situation. My PGWP expires on 8th september. I will be applying for PR under CEC by 20th Aug as I don't have a date for the IELTS before that. I am hoping to apply for BOWP with a letter stating my situation - I will not be able to provide an AOR in my application.

Is there anything specific I need to mention on that letter, or provide my employment letter? Did you also send the receipt of your CEC application for BOWP?
Let me know. Any advice will be appreciated.

My current open work permit is set to expire on xxxx. By submitting this application I understand I will be on implied status until a decision is made.

I have submitted my application for Permanent Residency (PR) under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) which was received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on xxxx. This met the criteria that I had just passed 12 months of employment in Canada.

At the date of this online application for the BOWP, I have not yet received the Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). I anticipate this will be received around the end of May or shortly thereafter.

Therefore I kindly ask that at the time of processing my application for the BOWP, that you check my CEC application status and AOR under my Client ID number xxxx-xxxx or contact me to request a copy of the AOR.

I am seeking a BOWP however, I am currently employed by the xxxx on a contract until xxxx, subject to receiving a work permit past xxxx. I have attached to this file the letter of offer and current reference that was used for my PR application.

I appreciate your consideration and thank you for your efforts.

There is a bit of a good and a bad news. One of my friend whose current permit expire in Jan 2014 has got his BOWP approved based on the explanation letter but other friend who applied on the same having current permit expire in Dec 2013 has got its BOWP rejected due to permit not expiring within 4 months reason. So a bit of luck and also which VO works on your application matters.

Hi Guys..
I am trying to apply for Open Work permit as I am waiting for my PR (applied for it in January).
For OWP I'm applying online, I have added all the forms and documents but there is also "optional documents" what I thought that I can choose to add or not. But now, it looks that I have to add all forms (also optional) to get to the page where I can pay for the request.
Is it the same for everybody or I'm just doing something wrong..?

Hello All,
I'm currenlty on closed WP and trying to apply for my BOWP online. I had started my online BOWP application in June and thaought I'd submit it when I become eligible (on July 30). But now, it look slike the online application website is having some issues and not letting me complete the application. It looks like I'm forced to have to go with the paper application, so whcih of the following address should I send my application,

Any guesses/news on when the Ecas update is going to be completed? Any suggestions or recommendations on whether I should send my paper application or if I should wait for the online application to be back up and running.

It expires on November 30. But, I'm in a hurry to get the BWOP asap with things at my work being little uncertain. I don't mind the postage fee, but the only reason I'm askingif I should wait for ECAS to be updated is for the ease and efficiency of the online process (I've been hearing and reading about).
