My passport got delivered yesterday, the online tracking changed as delivered and also signature available. Finally, relieved.

It's the same for one of my friend. He contacted canadapost and he was told, it would have got delivered but since the destination is PO box, nobody would have signed for it and hence the status would not change.

I too strongly recommended getting the documents notarized and also keep an explanation letter for not providing birth certificate. An explanation letter solves many complications, it gives CIC confidence. Couple of my friends got their application returned when they sent just the education...

Make sure you also give a letter of consent notarized to your friend who is bringing the passport, just to save him from any trouble for carrying your passport.

I sent my passport through canadapost and its current online tracking status says item was attempted to be delivered and is currently available at a post office for pick up. The package was addressed to CIC's PO BOX number so the status saying an attempt was made to deliver but not delivered...

My local MP office gave me an update on my status, they said my application has been approved and passport request email was sent to me on 04-Dec but I did not get it. I am now trying ways to make CIC resend the email.

Not sure of counterfoil but COPR is Confirmation of Permanent Residence, it is the one you get after sending your passport to CIC, I guess.
