In this case, canadasoon2013 won't be able to submit a police certificate from Germany yet because he hasn't been there for 6 months yet. But I can guarantee that CIC will ask for it once he has been there for that length of time. So for now, the application should go in without that particular police check, but he should be prepared to get it as soon as requested. Start doing the research now so that he can get it done quickly once requested! Funny, I haven't seen him on here since his first post....
Hello cunnington. Here I am. I had not showed up since that was the specific question I had. I emailed immediately the Visa Office in Bogotá the very following day. I let them know I was here on an exchange program, that all my contact info and studd was active in Colombia and that I was ready to provide medical exams, any document they have as well as to Travel to Colombia if the interview were required.
You made me worry about this thing about the Police Certificate. I understand the point of the 6 months that have to pass by so that they require this certificate. I have the big question now as to whether the Visa Office will say: "He is in Germany, he is staying there until December, he will need a Police Certificate and so we will store this application for at least six months or until he comes back. What if we need his passport?" do you think cunnington that the fact of being here DOES affect me? Additionaly, I see you posted on another applican's post that the Police Certificate, to be received in the office, takes 6-8 weeks!!! I understand they will ANYWAYS ask for the Colombian one, right? I am really concerned now that they may start delaying my application. Or will they just keep on processing it and will ask for the required docs when the normal processing time comes???
I appreciate your big help. Thank you so much!!!
