haha sorry my mistake .. even worse.

I think they adjust their timetable based on the need. Like today this 7:00PM was not planned for, I guess after they decided that the bill passed the Second Reading, this meeting is scheduled.

I feel they are trying to move as quick as possible.

It is obvious man .. if they enforce it immediately it will be the biggest joke ever.

Fedex's drop off deadline is at 4 pm but its too late for me now
so sending out tmw first thing in the morning cuz their center open at 7 am.
take no chance, the government can push for 3rd reading as early as thursday cuz they might still need a day for report stage.

I think third reading will be just a formality.....However, it might take few days to receive Royal Assent....For example Bill C-23 is waiting on Royal Assent since June 12th, but you never know with the conservatives!

i truly see through what politicians r - Liars.
The minister said he expected to pass the bill by the end of the year, but its actually being passed in 4 months.
The opposition vows to fight, but now they dont even bother looking at it. Cuz they know they r useless

I am really surprised that all these fights and efforts made to stop this bill have amounted to nothing, not even a change in how the bill is phrased!

bunch of bloody liars.....no respect left for them ! They are like mafia thugs - disgusting ! How embarrassing to the outside world that the Supreme Court Nominees from Quebec are all disqualified.... trying to get buddies on there..and then pointing fingers at the World for not respecting democracy and freedom of speech..one wants to literally puke !

BUT........What goes around eventually comes around....they will pay for their ill deeds...in the end truth wins....

This is another example for an old Bill called also C-24

it passed royal assent June 19th 2003, Came into Force January 1st 2004

http://publications.gc.ca/Collection-R/LoPBdP/LS/372/372c24-e.htm

I saw many examples and it will be most likely a Law starting from January 1st 2015

Yesterday's motion is clear: The Tories don't care about the democratic institution and the debate that comes with it, but moved to do a third reading (for the sake of procedural formality) and do a pass: http://openparliament.ca/bills/41-2/C-24/. Royal assent in such cases is not arbitrary, but right on -- after all the governor general is nominated by the Prime Minister... If this bill will be enacted before July 21, my application is doomed...

dont dream on it, CIC cant wait to implement the new law!
Does anyone remember , back in 2008, when Diane Finley was the Minister. She announced a change on FSW in march 2008 and set a deadline on application that received after Feb 28 to be ineligible. This is what the conservative government does, Screw ppl up!!!!!!!!!!!
No wonder they r so low in Poll right now and will be facing a defeat next year.

I remember .. but this wasn't a Federal Bill though .. this was CIC internal instructions and rules for immigration which is no the Parliement Business .. this is different.

If the Minister has any mercy left , he will give a head-up after the bill pass 3rd reading in senate.
He will say the bill will come into full force on july 1st.
Or they can just ask GG for royal assent right on the same day the bill passes 3rd reading, which will be either later this week or early next week.

So, where is the opposition in this case? Can they do anything to stop this Bill?
