Your opinion is valuable, no doubt, but may I bring your attention to the fact that our petition gathered over 6000 signatures and was already presented today at the House of Commons? As well if you take some time to read the news section on the petition page you will see what other achievements have been made.u4g5 said:all these petition or effort to try to stop the bill from passing is sooo waste of time. i said it once and i am saying it again. i bet u dont give it a damn if u already have obtained your citizenship. thousands and thousands PRs will be affected, but so it is what it is. I suggest u do something when u obtain the power to vote!

You can be pessimistic about whatever you want, it's your choice, but you want to keep it to yourself, and not to discourage others.u4g5 said:is any Conservative MPs you contacted going to vote against bill-24 when it is presented to parilament? NONE!
then what change is it really bring? and Liberals and NDPs Voting NO doesnt change ANYTHING.
Most effective way is to reach out anyone u know or in the community not to vote for CONSERVATIVES next october. but even that is a long shot. I admire you putting your time and effort but sadly it wont really make a difference.
I'm afraid you don't understand the legislative system of Canada.u4g5 said:is any Conservative MPs you contacted going to vote against bill-24 when it is presented to parilament? NONE!

All we can do is to present our claims and materials and ask for it to be spoken out loud. There might be better or worse times to do it but we do not have control when and how the petition is being presented by the MPs.sthaeem said:Great news.
But aren't we over reacting here. When things are silent and at rest and nothing moving on the bill. Shouldn't we just lobby it with MPs and present it in House of Commons right around the next debate?
