It is not wise to think that the bill wont pass or it will be amended in a way we like. It just simply WON'T. Who ever can apply in time so their cases are considered under the current regulation is lucky.
i wouldn't complain too much. The government created the mess, and they must clean the mess!

No updates,the minister of CIC, Chris Alexander has page on face book and he is updating it, try to see it from time to time

Those who apply in 2015 and later will definitely come under the new law..... whatever it's final form.

At this point in time the Bill is still in 2nd reading stage and has NOT yet formally completed that stage. So, many more steps to go...

Nops. this is probably the meeting of CIC committee who is currently looking at the bill and will propose amendments if needed. I think we havent even started the debate so not sure if 2nd reading has been concluded.

I do not want to be optimistic, if the Canadian government is will to pass the bill C 24, it will do so, see this bill was passed in one month.
It really varies some bills get rejected or take long time and some bills can be passed within one month

The bill has not been referred to standing committee yet, which is great news.
i resume all my travel plans and will submit application in july( CBSA record of entries take way toooo long, seems like everybody is requesting for 1 so it can save CIC staffs some work and time)

Actually i was gonna say something. I sumitted a Access to information act request and it is reaching 30 days so i email cbsa. They replied within hours and said my record of entries will be mailed out tmw. Guess they r keeping their promise to deliver a report in 30 calender days.
i didnt upload any proof of ID but only my name, DOB,Client ID in the comment column.
Honestly it is a 5$ experiment for my future application.
good luck, another has gone by and it seems that the immigration debate wont start again anytime soon.
