Where do you order them from? I went to this website and it said to get a full, clear and well explained one without the weird codes it would be $120.
How much was yours and if you can please send the link.
Also, just wondering when did you file your application?

I ordered mine for $5 from the CIC website directly. It takes about a month to send them and yes it may not be very easy to some people to read it but it is not that hard either. I mean if you read it twice or three times, you would probably understand it pretty well.

Yes i received my gcms notes 2 weeks ago ..like everybody else my application is waiting for background check to be done..

Requesting information for:
*Surname (Family Name)

Do they want my information or my husband's information? I'm a little bit confused.

Are you the sponsor? Only the sponsor (which must be Canadian or permanent resident can apply). If you are the Canadian sponsor, then you put your own information on the first page.
On the question where it says " *Are you requesting information on your own behalf?
If you say YES, then you do not need to worry about attaching a consent form. However, if you say NO, it means you are requesting it on behalf of your spouse, you have to get them to fill a consent form and sign it and you would attach it to your request.

In both times I applied for GCMS notes, I said no and I attached a consent from my husband.

On the second page where it asks you:

Choose, Access to Information Act

*Which type of records do you wish to request?
Choose, Case files

and fill in your spouse's information (Given that you said NO above and provide consent form)

If you said YES to the above, you put your own information which I think is not what we are supposed to do when we apply for spousal sponsorship.

This means you will request the GCMS notes on your husband's behalf. On the first page, put your information and on the second page, put your husband's information.
You will have to get his consent. Please send this form to him and ask him to fill it and sign it and return it to you. Then on one of the steps of your GCMS request, it is going to ask you to attach the consent form.

Of course they do not reply by email, only generic replies...

Seeing the dates here does not give me any hope

What are the real estimated time for the PR? I mean other than the one they put online, cz ot doesnt seem to be the real one..

The online average time is widely inaccurate. 13 months!! Our files are pending since double this time! We aren't expecting any news before December, 2017. That's what I feel. In one forum I read that one may 2015 applicant withdrew the application and resubmitted it coz new applications are being processed much faster than the backlog. The backlog is kept pending I dunno until when. We want to reunite with our second half. It's really unfair to keep us waiting for years while FSW applications are being processed in 6 months. So heartbreaking

Hi Noor,

GCMS notes come from ATIP, the Access to Information and Privacy department of CIC. They do not come from the visa office in Beirut. I received my second GCMS notes last week. They do not put expected date to finish the application. But if you order GCMS notes more than once, you kind of start seeing a pattern and get an idea on how fast they are working.
In my case, I noticed that they tend to put my application for 2 months in PA (The storage of our applications). Then after the 2 months, they work for one or 2 weeks maximum and then they dump it in PA again for another 2 months. In my case, the last time they touched the file was early January so I do not expect them to start working on it again until early March. Giving them 1 to 2 weeks. I would say end of March hopefully they will finish the security check and send it for the final signature. I expect the passport request sometime from mid April to end of April.
