I have two questions and I hope you can help me with solid answers.

1) I'm currently outside Canada and planning to stay outside for another two months, can my husband enters Canada without me being with him or being inside Canada ?!

2) Can my husband stay in Canada for 1 or 2 weeks to get his PR card request through, apply for a health card and a driver license, then travel outside Canada, in which one of our friends can access our mailing box in Canada and send us the PR card when it arrives by mail via DHL so my husband can re-enter Canada ?!

He can land without you being there.
And yes you can let someone send you PR but be careful and pay for tracking just in case.

It means that they are doing a security background check on the sponsored person. You're about 85% way there

hello all,

i was just wondering if you can help me out a little bit... Me and my husband both live in Lebanon and have been married for about a year now, and decided to apply to Canada to do my PhD. I am a Canadian citizen, both are Lebanese. My issue is I have no idea where I should apply, on the CIC page it says Visa center processes the family sponsorship applications, however when I called they said to apply online. And then another place also on the CIC page says to send it by mail to Mississauga. Which one is true? Which one is faster, easier???

Another question, before we got married my husband did not do a proposal, would that be an issue? BUT we have been together for 8 yeards. Should we write about our dating process, as proof? and regarding the photos, do they have to be originals "mzahharen" or they can be printed from MS word document???

Do the "ikhraj el 2ayd" have to be msadda2een?

Hi sweetstrawberry, I see that you had your interview in February. Are you still waiting for the passport request?
I applied for my husband last year on December 21, 2015. They visa office in Lebanon contacted us on the 20th of May saying they lost my husband's application and they requested an interview and asked him to bring a brand new application with him to the interview in order for them to continue processing the application . The next day, the online status for his application changed to Started processing "his names" application on May 21, 2016.
He had his interview on the 6th of June. They told him that he was accepted and his application for PR is in the last stage of background checks. It's 2 months and 10 days since then and we haven't heard back from them yet. I am worried that it may take them too long after the interview to give him the visa.
Is there a reason why your application took too long? I mean did they ask you for extra documents? any mistakes on the application?
I know three ladies from Lebanon whose husbands applied to sponsor them in February 2016 and they already got their visas and came to Canada last month in July. It took them only 5 months but it's already about 8 months for me and my husband. Too sad and I hate the discrimination :'(

hey i just want to let you know that my husbands interview was mid february and we are STILL waiting...we contacted them numerous times and all they say is that he is undergoing background check...its messed up this WHOLE system is messed up! but here we are patiently waiting! they dont say anything is missing in the file, i wish they would clearify what they want, its like all ambigious, they dont care if u wait a million years, they arent the ones suffering.

oh and btw i forgot to mention, we first sent our application in december 2014! almost 2 years..

one other thing, women are coming Easily from lebanon its the guys that are taking long because of security checks...if ur sponsoring a female its wayyyyy quicker. i noticed that, one guy on this thread his wife had an interview a week AFTER my husband, and she got PPR sometime in Apr or May and my husband is still waiting...you might be lucky, dont compare yourself to anyones case, you sent your app dec 2015 and got an interview 5 months later, we sent our app in dec 2014 and got an interview a year and 2 months later.

I just want to ask you guys, my medical report will be expired on September 2! and I still didn't get the PR. should I do another one and send it to cic or should I wait for them they request it when they want it
