Thanks for answering but its been about 10 weeks for me and i only lived in lebanon and the same case for (Ahma and i miss him) i think so i dont know if thats normal or not!!!

Hello everyone,
I am almost towards the end of filling the applications. So i pressed on validate and the barcodes appeared. Where exaclty do i use them? On the guidelines they say at the front of the application but then there are 2 barcodes generated one from the sponsor and one from the principal applicant. So how and where do I use each? Should I on each form for the sponsor put their barcode and the principal applicant their barcode??

P.S. i only translated the papers at a certified translator? He said that is fine no need for notary public. Is that right?

yeah well my husband has been under security check for 7 months and he NEVER left Lebanon in his life or even joined the army or associated with anything that has to do with politics, so well see.

same here I have been under security check for 6 months and I haven't left Lebanon in my life or even joined the army or associated with anything that has to do with politics, we are still waiting. but it seems u have exceeded the average processing time no? what did you do concerning that? because they are mentioning that if u have not received the visa within the processing time u should contact them.

even if the processing time is up and the client is under security check, nothing is in our hands. Ive contacted them numerous times and all they say is he is undergoing background checks and there is no time frame for that, once its done they will contact me. Therefore, it can literally take 20 years and if its under security check ii cant do anything at all about it. What a fair system we have eh???

We are still waiting too. It has been 5 months and a half since they started the Security and Criminality check. My husband never traveled anywhere outside Lebanon and he never served military service. I contacted my Member of Parliament 3 weeks ago and she contacted CIC on our behalf. They told her same thing they told me before. We are in the Security and Criminality check stage and they have 14 months to finish the process. It has been almost 11 months since I sent the application. I am hoping within the next 3 months, we hear something. Although, when I look at sweetstrawberry's case, I lose hope in them. It has been about 23 months for her and she is still waiting :-(

Also, I read earlier that your medical report expired in September. Did they ask you to re-do it? I am asking because my husband's medical expires on the 6th of December.

They might extend the validity of the medicals up to 6 months so dont worry

On December 7, the Canadian government changed the sponsorship wait times to 12 months for all contries around the world so anyone who applies after December 7, their wait time will be 12 months. However, that doesn't apply to us. We still have to expect a wait time of 14 months (or longer).
