By the way my wife's file is very similar to yours.
We applied July 2011 and the file was transferred in September 2011.

But Im just curious to find out how come it was sent direct to beirut and didnt go to damascus ..
Since all application were sent there before jan 2012 when canadian embassy in damascus and beirut wasnt able to decide immgration applications before jan 2012.. I find it weird
Whats the difference i mean .. Is there something different as to why it went direct to beirut ?

nono, at that time i was not aware what is the next step, i was waiting for the sponsorship approval, when i got the approval email from them i found it there that the file has been trsfd to beirut, and i was worried that will may delay the process. thanks god i feel i am really lucky.

i really don't remember exactly, if there was any part of the application where we could select which VO we want, do you?

Yes part3 there was front page if u want damascus or beirut
Us too we had checked in the box of beirut since they gave us that option .. But mine went to damascus first even by writtingb that we wanted VO beirut ..

As per the letter I received on November 24 the file was transferred to Beirut but when i called yesterday the CIC agent told me that my file was transferted to Syria on Feb 28 2012. which one should I believe? :-\ :-\

Actually all of the files were transferred to Damascusus, I received a letter saying the file was transferred to a visa office abroad, and if I needed anything to contact the VO of Beirut, so I thought it was sent there directly until my MP got me the correct information saying the file was in Damascus.

hi guys
my wife got a call from the embassy two days ago requesting passport to stamp the visa, thanks god finally, wish the same to everybody very soon.

note: we applied june 2011 but our file was transferred to beirut vo directly, it was never been in damascus, i am not sure if that really makes difference.

I NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT SYRIA IN THE APP. AND MAYBE YOU ARE RIGHT GUYS, I SAID THE FILE WAS TRANSFERRED TO BEIRUT DIRECTLY JUST BASED ON THE LETTER THAT I RECEIVED IN AUGUST 2011.
AFTER ALL PREVIOUS COMMENTS AND DISCUSSIONS, I BECAME NOT SURE WHERE WAS THE FILE :-[ ?????

ANYWAY IT IS A GOOD NEWS FOR ALL OF US, AT LEAST WE KNOW APPROXIMATLY NOW WHAT'S THE PROCESSING TIME

Ya i guess your righttt .... 10months looks normal compare to 14-15 -22
We dont even know whats the processing period ' they updated 2 nd part and it still says damascus 14 months but how about beirut ??? Whats the time period ' does anyone knoww i mean we have to base on damascus even tough its in beirut ...
